Madeleine McCann (3) disappeared after being left asleep in the unlocked ground-floor bedroom of her family's rented holiday apartment in the Algarve (Portugal) while her parents dined with friends at a local restaurant on 26 September. There have been no confirmed sightings of her since then. Despite myriad theories about what happened to the toddler, no substantial evidence leading to any one individual has surfaced. In 2014 it was reported Scotland Yard was reportedly looking at 38 people of interest, as well as researching the backgrounds of 530 known sex offenders, including 59 regarded as high interest.

Didn't even look to see if Madeleine was on the list to be fair.

I just started at the most recent and leisurely read a few of those and googled some more about it.

Some bed time reading for me for the foreseeable anyway.

Having had a quick glance at The Family link, I don't think that I can face reading all of it. I wonder if the name was taken from Charles Manson's gang.

I was thinking of the Lisa Irwin case the other day, wondering what the parents had to hide by not letting their two sons be interviewed.

Perhaps I should clarify what I said before - there are cases which have some initial similarities to the McCanns but none that have all the palaver and nonsense ever since.
