I go searching for newspaper articles and know what a hassle they are to find. Did these pop up easily Andrew or do you have a technique?

I wonder if previously whooshed articles are starting to make a reappearance? I've never read any allusions to the fridge in the MSM before and not for lack of trying.

That Sun article is particularly detailed.

That's why I asked Andrew the articles I have found in the past have been a chore. I have used an enhanced privacy network the doesn't have the restrictions on results.....or seems not to. It is a single page scroll and sometimes the best results are way down the list. Like Deecoy Iam wondering if some results have been fed back or become easier to find??

ok gave it a try and typed in McCanns missing blue bag and found this.........

http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/news/madeleine/616714/Cops-hunt-for-Gerrys-holdall-Maddie-Mystery-of-lost-blue-bag.html

A MISSING blue tennis bag could hold the key to Madeleine McCann’s disappearance, a TV documentary will claim tonight.

The bag — big enough to carry a small child — belonged to Maddie’s dad Gerry, the programme says.

It is claimed Portuguese cops have been hunting for the holdall, which disappeared at the same time as the four-year-old girl.

The bag emerges as a potentially vital new clue in a Sky News investigation entitled The Madeleine McCann Mystery.

Yet, bizarrely, the McCanns’ spokesman Clarence Mitchell yesterday denied it existed — saying Gerry did not own such a bag and never had done.

All smiles ... McCanns return from church with twins yesterday
All smiles ... McCanns return from church with twins yesterday
Sky’s crime reporter Martin Brunt stood by the documentary’s claim last night.

Former detective Tony Rogers, one of Britain’s most experienced police officers, will be seen saying: “If it’s a bag of a size that could be taking away from the flat a child, that would be of great interest to the investigating officer.”

The development came as Gerry and wife Kate, both 39-year-old doctors, faced their first Christmas without Maddie — who vanished on May 3 in the Portuguese resort of Praia da Luz.

Yesterday, a family friend demanded that the “fundamentally flawed” case against them be DROPPED immediately by Portuguese police. The call came over fresh doubts about the validity of DNA tests.

It is thought the Maddie probe has involved the same process of so-called “low copy number” DNA testing used in the Omagh bombing case — thrown out of court after a judge ruled it “potentially unreliable”.

Missing ... Maddie
Missing ... Maddie
Tonight’s documentary also claims Portuguese detectives have failed to find and quiz a British paedophile with links to the Algarve. He was among 52 British sex offenders with similar connections whose details were given to police by UK cops.

It is not known if he was the man who, in September, was at the centre of the hunt for the tot after witnesses picked him out from photos of 100 perverts.

Nor can he be definitely linked to another suspect — the 32-year-old son of expat Brits who is said to have “groomed” and sexually assaulted a girl of 12 in the resort two years ago. That man is thought to be hiding somewhere in the UK.

Brunt told The Sun a British source close to the probe said Portuguese cops had “worked very hard” to find the 52 and rule them out. But he added: “There is still one man they are concerned about.”

The documentary quotes top forensics consultant Professor David Barclay. He said Portuguese police had “looked at” paedophiles in the Praia da Luz area. He added: “They didn’t check up on other people staying in the apartments.”

The new call for the McCanns to be cleared followed the storm over low copy number DNA testing — a technique allowing results to be interpreted from samples containing just a few cells.

The pal said: “If the leaks from the police to the Press are true that low copy number testing is involved then we would demand the reliability of these tests is absolutely pinned down before it is used in cases such as ours.

“It is ridiculous to form a case against someone using evidence that is fundamentally flawed.”

Gerry and Kate went to church in Rothley, Leics, yesterday with their two-year-old twins Sean and Amelie

Blimey. Just searched "McCann blood spray" and found this.

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-506725/Blood-McCanns-hire-car-DID-come-Madeleine.html

Blooming certain this stuff wasn't 'around' before.

What we need is to search for an article that was definitely there originally then known to have been whooshed.

If such an article is now 'available' again then we can be certain a shift has occurred.

Can anyone put their finger on the title of a definitely previously whooshed article?

Always interesting reading articles from the early days.

Snipped from Dee's link...

"Kate and Gerry were in no way involved in her death. Nor were they involved in disposing of her body.

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-489408/Madeleines-DNA-Murats-house-police-claim.html

Meanwhile new claims have been made that Gerry McCann organised a game of tennis in the days after his daughter Madeleine disappeared.
In an allegation likely to infuriate the McCanns, a waiter at the Ocean Club resort in Praia da Laz said Gerry and Kate were "very cool" after she vanished and seemed less upset than their friends.
The waiter said: "What we found really strange was Gerry, days after the little girl disappeared, calmly playing tennis. He played with an old couple from England.
"I thought that everybody else in the group seemed more upset and stressed and bothered than the parents.
"They were so cool about it. I never saw them cry or anything. They played tennis and went jogging.
"They didn't seem as distraught as their friends. If my kid disappeared I'd go insane. I wouldn't be able to function. They'd have to lock me away."

This one Bluebell?

www.telegraph.co.uk/news/uknews/1562823/Madeleine-Hair-in-car-came...

So much of Madeleine's hair was also found in the vehicle's boot that it must have come directly from her body, and not just been transferred from clothing or a toy, according to the briefing.

Thanks all, now gone on laptop and here it is.   Interesting.

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/uknews/1562823/Madeleine-Hair-in-car-came-from-her-body.html

4:34PM BST 11 Sep 2007
The police case against Kate and Gerry McCann was submitted to the public prosecutor today, amid conflicting reports about the nature of the DNA case against them

According to police briefings given to Portuguese journalists, the samples found in the back of the McCanns' car were not blood but other "bodily fluids". These have provided an 88 per cent DNA match to Madeleine.

So much of Madeleine's hair was also found in the vehicle's boot that it must have come directly from her body, and not just been transferred from clothing or a toy, according to the briefing.

This conflicts with claims from British sources that the police's case is based on blood found in the silver Renault Scenic car hired 25 days after Madeleine disappeared.

It was claimed yesterday that the blood was a 100 per cent match, although this was played down this morning.

Ten volumes of evidence were today handed over in stages to Jose Cunha de Magalhaes e Meneses, the district attorney based in Portimao.
They outline the Portuguese police's version of events surrounding Madeleine's disappearance from Praia da Luz on May 3.

Detectives in the Algarve believe Mrs McCann might have killed her daughter by accident while her husband helped cover up the crime.
Mr Meneses will sift through a large amount of evidence, including the results from the Forensic Science Services in Birmingham.
Mr Meneses will also look at the toxicology reports and the interviews carried out with the couple last week.
A Portuguese police source said Mrs McCann's inability to sufficiently explain why traces of Madeleine's blood were found in the back of the hire car only added to the case against them.

The part-time GP was also asked why the "smell of death" was picked up on her clothes by specialist sniffer dogs.

Once he has studied the report, Mr Meneses has several options open to him.
He can order renewed police activity, such as searches of specific properties or sites.
He can upgrade the cautionary measures - or restrictions - on the couple, summoning them back to the Algarve and even placing them in custody if he felt it necessary.
If Mr Meneses decides there is enough evidence to call the McCanns before a criminal judge, he will notify the lawyers involved.
Police in Portugal are convinced that the couple are connected to their daughter's death.
A source said: "The investigation is far from finished. "Investigators are trying to demonstrate that her death in the apartment was an accident, negligence or provoked."

Will just put it down to Google taking the pee out of me in the early hours.

In a nutshell.

Bluebell asked a question.... I looked it up. But came up with a 2008 article (not 2007). At roughly the same time Mo posted a link to an article. I clicked on Mo's link and it didn't work. I went back to the link I looked up and it didn't work (still left open on my laptop from over night). It looked like that articles was quickly whooshed. But then a bit later I did a google search again and I found the very same article that I was previously looking at. It vanished, then magically reappeared before my very own eyes.
