Coronation Street axed child abduction plot as it would be too "insensitive" after Madeleine McCann disappearance
Scenes for the plot featuring Claire and Ashley Peacock's son Freddie had already been filmed when Maddie disappeared

.... I'm sure Ashley Peacock hasn't been in Corrie for about 20 years.

They were cleared by police as suspects in Maddie’s disappearance although in March Portuguese Supreme Court civil judges said they were not “formally in the clear.

CUDDLE CAT What was Madeleine McCann’s cuddle cat? How long did Kate carry it for and how important was it during the investigation?

This is turning into death by a thousand cuts for the McCanns.

I wonder how long it'll be before Eddie & Keela make it into the papers.

Tomorrow? Or if they keep up the momentum with two, three stories a day, it could even be today.

How about in -3 days, on the 25th? Or does it only count if they are named?

I remember that comment about Cuddle Cat being on a high shelf and out of Madeleine's reach. I would put that comment in the same bucket as the jemmied shutters claim - ie, that was The Plan. And then they realized that The Plan wasn't going to work. I think Cuddle Cat on the High Shelf was the script Kate was supposed to follow (along with the Jemmied Shutters). So where is the high shelf? Was there a high shelf in another apartment? Did she mean the little shelf underneath the picture frame on the wall? Did she mean on top of the dresser? Did she mean a shelf outside the bedroom? Did she mean a shelf in a cupboard?

That is Cuddle Cat on the bed as far as I can see.

I seem to remember the first few accounts were "I just knew that".

Then, later, we got the high shelf, which seems to have been introduced in August 2007:

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-474844/Madeleines-favourite-Cuddle-Cat-toy-placed-reach.html

Then, after the high shelf did not work because people saw the photographs, where there was no shelf in the bedroom, it went over to variations of "obviously we can't say too much about the investigation, how I knew that..".

Just looked at The Mail article above and the photograph has got to be the most contrived I've ever seen of KM, it's clearly posed and begs the question who would think such a pose is appropriate?

Just an idea: the high shelf on which Cuddle Cat was put ... and as there is nothing like a high shelf in the apartment: could it have been that Cuddle Cat [as a punishment of some sorts] had been placed on top of the curtains in the sitting room above the sofa ... ?
Just an idea and inspired by a French novel, which I may have mentioned several times before.
