Just so I have this straight:

1, The press are the ones claiming a request has been filed re: the "last line of inquiry"?

2, Officially, OG/Met are not commenting in any way, shape or form. Not even a hint of what it is?

Just read it. What a web that has been weaved...!

According to this it is only the BBC that have suggested (insider info via Crimewatch?) the last line of inquiry is related to a sixth Rog.

I think I'll continue to sit back and wait for a (more) meaningful and succinct announcement one way or the other. The case is even upping itself when it comes to being convoluted.

TTWO,
Your right! It's fantastic Iam sure that there is a dialogue that unfolds before us between different vested interests(oops that Textusas thing!) but I certainly see what she means the longer this headf@&k goes on. The way everything has convoluted after Goncalos victory has been a roller coaster. Just waiting for the Daily Mail to ring my doorbell. I have some french fancies at the ready!

PS .....CF is that Pat Brown that has stopped posting???

See now read what that says; "The Portuguese Judiciary Police did not receive from the English authorities, investigating the disappearance of Madeleine McCann, any request concerning the three men."

This is presumably true but irrelevant. The PJ have the secrecy laws remember....

The BBC article TextUSA refers to says this; "The remaining line of inquiry is centred around a letter asking for assistance sent from UK investigators to the Portuguese Public Prosecution Service in July 2015."

TexUSA speculates the above could be referring to the forensics on the curtains. Unlikely anything to do with three burglars already questioned (the spin?)

I will resume my position now...

If any police force are trying to wrap this up with a botched burglary they're going to have a hard time because of the released PJ files. Now, if they never were released they might have had a chance but it's too late now IMO

Or being positive. BHH says one last line of enquiry. The gutter press and the rest of those that soak up the pink hype spin into talking about the 3 'non' burglars. The Portugese say no rogs. So where does that leave us? Right back to one line of enquiry - and it's not 3 burglars. Classic look here not there imo.

Purdah from the children's champions!

Post  Bampots on Sat 30 Apr 2016, 1:17 am

Ok Jerry again,Lorraine as well(ahh she's lovely!)....but what's this......purdah from the children's champions? .......read on......

McCanns pull out of Lorraine TV show appearance after devastating libel case defeat
THE parents of Madeleine McCann will not make a fresh plea to find her next week.

SETBACK: Kate & Gerry McCann were due to appear on ITV's Lorraine early next week
Kate and Gerry were expected to talk to ITV’s Lorraine Kelly on Tuesday, the ninth anniversary of their daughter’s disappearance.

But they have pulled out after suffering a £390,000 setback in their libel battle with ex-Portuguese detective Goncalo Amaral.

They fear the court fight will deflect attention from the search for Maddie, who was three when she disappeared from their holiday apartment in Praia da Luz, Portugal, in May 2007.

VICTORY: Ex-cop Amaral's £390,000 libel payout was overturned by an appeal court
The country’s appeal court has ruled in favour of the former cop and overturned the libel payout that he was ordered to make to the McCanns.

He wrote a book in which he accused the couple of covering up Maddie’s accidental death.

Kate, 48, and Gerry, 47, of Rothley, Leics, were said to be seething over the decision and are now lining up an appeal in Portugal’s Supreme Court.

They are also said to have turned down huge television and magazine interview offers from around the world.

Meanwhile, Mr Amaral, 57, has now been allowed to re-publish his book.

It is back on sale and is set to appear in English for the first time.

A family friend said: “They would love to make a new appeal, but are aware that any journalist would want to inquire about Mr Amaral’s victory.

“They’re seething over the ruling. That’s the last thing they want to discuss. ’’

C12,I believe that there are major ructions going on behind the scenes. The events of the last few weeks have been seismic in so many ways. From Katie Hopkins onwards each week seems to devalue the stock of TeaMcCan,it's only in the last few days that they have fought back with anything one could call success. The speed with which they have managed to turn Goncalos success in court from one of elation with much backslapping to confusion and pesimisim has truly been a marvel to watch. Scotland Yard have said very little but they have still managed to instill the possible result in people's minds a tale of three desperate burgalrs who accidentally disturbed Maddie, caused her demise/abduction,cleaned up a blood spill with a forensic attention to detail (while one of them tried to focus their attention through a haze of drugs whilst dreaming of fast cars!)then hide as Gerry had a pee, escape en mass with child/dead body and finally split up while one wandered through town with a child looking ,like Gerry. Oh and for all of the effort forgot to take any money or anything of value!! Phew wtf......we really get ourselves in a tizzy sometimes over these things,if that is what they decide to archive this with they really will be ridiculed. The cream of Britains police really have no notion of the damage they inflict on themselves and their profession but I suppose Hillsborough shines like a beacon the world over they have no shame!

As for Kate and Gerry......they have opened the box....there is no shutting the lid for them!

Snipped from the Star article, which Clarence said....

A family friend said: “They would love to make a new appeal, but are aware that any journalist would want to inquire about Mr Amaral’s victory.

Any journalist.... I thought it was Lorraine's sofa. With Lorraine. She is hardly going to ask them any awkward questions when she's drooling and fawning all over them is she. And everything has been scripted and rehearsed beforehand anyway.

Nah, what's the real reason.

As Bampots said. Lots of things going on behind the scenes.

Agreed Andrew, since when has Mr Amaral bothered them, in fact they could have used it to their advantage, i.e. 'bad man is taking all the money we had left to search for Madeleine'

No, as you say, something else going in imo.
