Did Stone think the 3 victims were his probation officer`s family I wonder.

I really thought he must be innocent when he answered all the police questions and seemed confident there would be no forensic trace of him at the scene.

Surely these days there would be DNA evidence from the shoe lace as it`s something he would have touched everyday.

Maybe he was under the influence of drink or drugs when he did it and doesn`t remember doing it. People threaten to kill when they are in a drunk rage and then forget they`ve said it. But whether you could murder people when you`re in a drunk rage and then forget it - I`m not so sure. He seemed so confident he was innocent in the cold light of day.

Then there`s the beige car - his was white. No one had one stolen in that area but was one stolen from where he was 40 miles away earlier that day?

Here's the second part which I'll watch later.

P.S. I've now seen it - very good. I won't say too much so that others can watch it afresh, other than that Levi Bellfield is mentioned and Colin Sutton speaks on the phone about him.

I've just watched it too. And very, very interesting or should I say worrying, about the FSS at about 51 minutes!

There was no forensic evidence at all which linked to him though I know that doesn't necessarily exclude him.

The evidence that he knew the area well was underwhelming - a statement from a fellow villain with whom he'd fallen out and a three week stay at a children's home four miles away when he was about 8!

With the advances in forensics the conviction does look increasingly unsafe imo.

It would be interesting to see these letters! It should be easy to prove if Michael Stone wrote them or not.

As for the news that Levi Bellfield has converted to Islam - affraid
