The question to all is this.

Should Programmes, films, songs etc. be pulled because of accusations?  Or perhaps even if a crime has been committed.

I don't think they should, nothing is as yet proved and therefore these people should be innocent in the eyes of the law.  To me it seems way over the top.  Look at the past, should we airbrush out everyone who has committed any offences or been accused.  There wouldn't be much left to watch.

Very emotive subject, but if you think back now, what about all the gay people - this used to be a crime at one time right up to 1967, now it isn't - what if they had scrapped everything  then......  It is just an example, maybe not the best one.

What I am trying to say is much of what happened years ago is not tolerated now, in the harassment cases, back then it was what happened, maybe not good, but it did, and it was accepted, (I am talking here of mild cases of wolf whistles, and innuedoes etd) that is obvious, as accusations were not made then. Of course I am not talking about the very serious crime of rape or assault.  Suddenly, everyone is jumping on the bandwagon.

Steven Segal is now having various allegations levelled at him, and so it goes on..

Imo I think this is all going way too far.

This is what got me thinking on this subject, story just out.

It's a difficult situation.

I'm not sure now if all programmes with Rolf Harris were dropped when allegations against him were first made or when he was actually charged but either way he hadn't then been convicted of anything.

In this case, it's unlikely that anyone in the U K has even heard of this actor until now.

Being gay prior to 1967 had to be kept a closely guarded secret - was there anyone whose career came to an end by being outed - someone more recent than Oscar Wilde of course!
