Goodness me, that is a shocker, Surprised  I remember the first episode, was it really 45 years ago today.  Shocked It was of course then called Emmerdale Farm, and totally different to now, most of it revolved around the Sugdens and the farm and pub.

Emmerdale is 45 today... and look who’s back in the Woolpack

OMG Look at Joe Sugden now - he was in my memory as a bit of alright.

I stopped watching it years ago ... when it became totally unreal, with all the females made up to the nines with what seems like studio make-up and going way over the top dramatically to out-do the likes of Eastenders and Corrie.
