Did anyone get any memorable presents?

I don't normally get or send any now but this year someone sent me an 8 CD collection of 1980s hits. I don't have a CD player and wasn't aware that you could still buy CDs!

The 1980s weren't my memorable musical years either - the 1960s and 1970s were.

Oh well, it's the thought that counts as they say!

Eh?  CD's are what you do buy, don't you mean cassette tape or videos?   DVD is for films etc., CD's are just music.  Or have I missed something, I must say I don't keep abreast of all the latest gadgets.

I have just had lots of money given, and choccies.  I will be buying myself some nice binoculars for my bird spotting!  Hadn't realised but the are quite expensive, but worth buying the better ones.

Beautiful day today, to go out and spend, but I expect it will be mayhem out there today, plus they say there will be a bit of snow later.

I received an inordinate amount of sweets. Literally several bucketfuls. Now, I do like sweets, but there must be the neck end of a year's supply here.

They have given you the energy to post again which is good!

I also got some Ferrero Rocher chocolates as a peace offering from the owner of the flat upstairs but I'm not keen on them so my son can scoff the lot at his leisure.

I got one of those oval roasting tins with the dimpled lid. I have been looking for one and eventually found one and said 'I am not paying that much' so our daughter bought me one for Christmas and I am really delighted.

CDs are going out of fashion especially for the younger generation - I have a massive hypermarket bag full of them that my boys don`t want anymore - some really good stuff amongst them. I also have drawers full of them, kept because they`re all great music but I hardly ever play them.

There are loads of internet music stations now where you can have continual music of any genre you choose, e.g. spotify. I like the blues and can have that playing continually with all the best musicians.
