From memory he claims to have left the police force in 2000 to study at Birmingham City University - a brave venture when he had a young family to support. 

Just found his opinion on the Oscar Pistorius case - - I don't think he has a lot of support there.

I'm just surprised he didn't deliberately lose his balance and fall to a heap on the ground.

That might of got him a bit more sympathy from the onlookers.

Madness, what does he hope to gain, it has made me more angry him doing this trying to garner sympathy, he murdered her end of...  We know he has stumps, why the need for the performance.

The idea was of course to convince everyone of how literally small and vulnerable he felt when he thought there was an intruder in his house. 

I hope that he doesn't get away with it.

Why is this 3 ringed circus even being allowed? He has been found guilty of murder and this farce is supposed to be to determine sentencing. Does it not carry some mandatory sentence? The time for all this was during the trial.

They should give him another 10 years for poor acting and trying to gain the sympathy vote, sorry, normally I would break my heart for someone who was so disabled, but he is turning this sentencing into a farce.  The Judge should put an end to it imo.

And at the end of the day, this guy still shot and killed his girlfriend through a door, in a very tight cubicle. That poor girls father wants people to see the damage that he caused her and how much pain she went through. Disabled or not, it's still murder.

I've just watched the programme on ITV and will put up a link when it's available.

I thought it would be embarrassing and cringe worthy with Mark Williams-Thomas fawning over OP as Lorraine Kelly does with the McCanns.

In fact he expressed no opinions at all, just let OP tell his side of the story - story being an appropriate word.
