Re: Dianne Webster's rogatory interviews
4078 “Yeah, and the night when they were sleeping, did anybody try to wake them? Other than it being noisy and they were moved.”
Reply “No, no I mean err when they, when they were brought up to our apartment err they had a sort of blanket over them and they were asleep on err I think it was David and Fiona that carried them up and they were just sleeping on their shoulder and obviously didn’t want to wake them up because the cots were being brought up and they were put, put, but you know my, my feeling is that they, I think a child normally would haven woken up under the circumstances.”
Note my highlighted in red,why would tannerman be carrying a child different to this, but smithman was?
Sorry off topic but it stood out.

Re: Dianne Webster's rogatory interviews
I have just read this, and the mention of the super-inaudible stood out.
I wonder what super-inaudible would leave her frustrated, and resentful, at not being able to speak out?
It might well explain why not one of the friends has been able to speak out.
On another note, I had always assumed that the police asked questions, and the person being interviewed would then do the talking. In this interview it feels almost like the interviewer is leading the witness, with long questions that require a yes/no answer. If the witness were to be elderly, with possible memory issues, that could mean the witness could well have forgotten the start of the question!

Dianne's amnesia over quiz night
From Dianne's rogatory 11th May 2007:
- Prompted, she explains that in all the dinners during the holidays only members of the group had participated, never having any strangers with them at the table that they usually occupied.
- Asked, she says that in the days leading up to the disappearance of MADELEINE, or at any other time, she neither saw nor found any abnormal situation that could by itself be interpreted as having any correlation with the facts of the investigation.
How does the above explanation in bold correspond with the facts as stated by Najoua Chekaya on 9th May 2007 (below in italics)? The OC aerobics instructor and quiz host gave the statement just two days earlier than Dianne's statement. Bearing in mind that these were given approximately a week, give or take a day, after Madeleine had allegedly been abducted, events from the previous week would be pretty fresh in both their minds.
In the afternoon she began work at 15.20 next to the Millenium until 16.15 and then returned to the Tapas restaurant until 17.15 and then to the Millenium restaurant from 17.30 to 18.00. She finished at about 18.15 and returned to the Tapas Bar for dinner and at 21.00 did a kind of quiz with the guests who were having dinner in the restaurant.
She remembers that last Tuesday at the end of the quiz, she was invited to the table of nine guests who asked her to join them for a drink.
She was at their table for about fifteen to twenty minutes and it was there that she met Madeleine's father, who directly invited her to the table, however, she does not know whether Madeleines mother was also there.
When questioned, she said that they talked of banalities and she did not notice any aspect or behaviour that was out of the ordinary.
When questioned, she said that during the time that she was there Madeleines father did not leave the table, neither did any of the other guests, however, during this time one of the chairs was always empty, that of someone who had had dinner and left, not managing to indicate any identifying element about this person.
When questioned, she said she was at the table from about 21.30 to 21.50.
She does not remember anyone from outside the resort having made any questions about the functioning of the Ocean Club, or about any particular service.
When questioned, she said that she had only seen Madeleine once or twice and had merely said hello to her, no more than that.

Re: Dianne Webster's rogatory interviews
Why would Najoua lie in her witness statement? Her statement is richly informative and full of detail, in contrast to Dianne's. No memory loss here at all. Just look at all the information she gives in her short statement.
1. (On Sundays and Tuesdays) she returned to the Tapas Bar for dinner and at 21.00 did a kind of quiz with the guests who were having dinner in the restaurant.
2. She remembers that last Tuesday (ie: 1st May) at the end of the quiz, she was invited to the table of nine guests
3. ....who asked her to join them for a drink.
4. She was at their table for about fifteen to twenty minutes
5. ....and it was there that she met Madeleine's father,
6. ....who directly invited her to the table,
7. ...however, she does not know whether Madeleines mother was also there.
8. When questioned, she said that they talked of banalities and
9. ...she did not notice any aspect or behaviour that was out of the ordinary.
10. When questioned, she said that during the time that she was there Madeleines father did not leave the table,
11. ....neither did any of the other guests,
12. ....however, during this time one of the chairs was always empty, that of someone who had had dinner and left, not managing to indicate any identifying element about this person.
13. When questioned, she said she was at the table from about 21.30 to 21.50.
14. She does not remember anyone from outside the resort having made any questions about the functioning of the Ocean Club, or about any particular service.
15. When questioned, she said that she had only seen Madeleine once or twice and had merely said hello to her, no more than that.
16. When questioned, she said that she had never seen anyone suspicious in the vicinity of the Ocean Club.

Re: Dianne Webster's rogatory interviews
Probably not in the right place, but it would appear that Dianne's recollection of no strangers ever joining them at the dinner table was somewhat faulty.
This is what her son-in-law had to say in one of his interviews (not sure of exact date of this one). He talks about 'the odd couple here and there on certain different nights' (joining them at dinner presumably?) and then he talks about the quiz night when the aerobics instructor joined them and how 'you know' was chatting with her. However, he appears to have amnesia over what else was going around around him at that particular time. (Really?? Was this the night Kate stormed off in a huff and her mobile was activated and also the night that Mrs Fenn heard crying coming from apartment 5A? Perhaps he would rather forget what else was going on that night...)

.....and you know was chatting with her one night err but again you know my, as for observation of what was else going around me wasn’t particularly great.
