Not really sure about this film. Whilst I personally believe that this whole Global Warming thing is just a load of codswallop designed to do the usual government works (1) terrify us (2) take money out of our pockets via taxes and (3) manipulate us in ways it wants , this film seems to sum up (1) and (3) perfectly. It doesn't question the great climate warming debate but only questions the means of achieving our 'survival.' I commented recently on all the print devoted to environmental perils of  raising  livestock for consumption and when there is a concerted effort like this there has to be an agenda. Suddenly RED meat is bad, bad, bad for you whilst white meat is fine. Why would that be? There is no attempt to differentiate between organic grass fed and factory farmed. ALL red meat is BAD. Could it possibly be that cattle raising ( including sheep farming )  takes up too much darned room? All those green and pleasant fields that could be concreted over for 'affordable houses' for the big '  buy to let boys ' to let  out at  mostly taxpayer subsidised rents? Unsurprisingly poultry farming ( a la Bernard Matthews ) which takes up little room in comparison is given the old thumbs up. I can't help but feel I'm being manipulated by vested interests.

Thanks for that film Rosa canina. Quite an eye opener. I knew agriculture was part of the greenhouse gas effect but hadn`t realised it was that much.

It will be interesting to see if there was any agreement come to about agriculture in the Paris talks. If not, it seems merely a reduction in carbon emissions will not be nearly enough.

ants and termites produce a heck of a lot of methane too but nobody's suggesting we all invest in extra bottles of Nippon to save the planet
I'm with nannygroves, it's nonsense being spouted for at least one ulterior motive
