I'm not sure that I understand that one - are you saying he shot himself?!

I have to say that, while I'm not implying anything, we only have Mrs Wilson's word for what happened. The account of her husband taking an envelope (addressed to an unknown person) from a stranger and then going back for more information is very weird. Surely the hit-man would have shot him on the first occasion.

No. Suicide by hitman is a thing!

I don't know if there have ever been any known cases of that in the U K but I remember seeing a made for TV documentary about this one.

We talked about this one when it happened but I can't find where. It was thought to be a genuine accident at first and I still think that it could have been.

I wonder why the incident has been referred to the Police Complaints Commission.

Because there had been contact with police in the hours before the fire.

Yes, it didn't say that in the original report.

That's now been whooshed.

A quote here from Colin Sutton.

A frightening attack - this could so easily have killed the victim.

Colin Sutton seems to be the default man to go to,he was on the radio the other day talking about the cab rapist and his release.

Another case (like that of Margaret Fleming) where a person can disappear for years and nobody notices.

Ye gods, this is dreadful but I do understand what it is like to be driven to distraction by noise. This doesn't of course excuse what happened here.

I have mentioned this notorious 1980s Irish case before; here's the report of a tribunal inquiry.

The determination to prove parental guilt in this case is in stark contrast to another case I could mention.

Re: Miscellaneous Criminal Cases

Post  nannygroves Yesterday at 6:17 pm

Snipped from the Daily Mail.

Sep 25, 2007 ... The first eyewitness account of the frantic moments after Madeleine McCann disappeared can be revealed today. Nanny Charlotte Pennington confirms that Kate McCann did scream: 'THEY’VE taken her, they've taken her'

Headline of the Mylee Billingham stabbing in the Daily Mail today
Mylee’s mother was heard screaming, ‘’ THEY stabbed her.’’ The mother was presumably referring to her husband.

I have to ask the question . Who are THEY? Is this something that happens under stress?
