'Friends are seething'... Jerry Lawton.
Is that Mitchell and Gamble?
Can't think of any others... Ok maybe the tapas lot back in the day. Jane, for example... nope, that pile of poo soon went.
Other friends..... (not bb1 and the like that gets paid)
A bit stuck.

It's the right time for DCS Mick, to literally stop taking the Mick (if believe the MSM, influenced Prick. Sorry pink), and be strong as a Brick, to do the right thing and get them in for a Nick. If not, we will all be Sick. Don't make it a Trick. Or give it the Flick.
Make it Quick.
Let's countdown the Tick.

If I was one of the 'friends' who showed up in court to give evidence in the case I imagine I'd be pretty seething.

What friends though... (apart from family, Mitch and Gamb).
(Sorry, paid shills and experts you spend all you money on too)
I reckon the so-called Tapas friends, ditched them some time back.
They are on their own. Lets see some pink stuff be spinned out of all this.

Excuse me? Drain the fund , I'm pretty sure the public didn't donate to fund for McCanns to use it for legal costs? Plus OG are funding the search.candyfloss wrote:Jerry Lawton @JerryLawton · 1m1 minute ago
Fears if ruling stands the legal cost finding against #mccann for 3 year hearing could drain Find Madeleine Fund and hamper search

Châtelaine wrote:As I may have said before [or maybe on another forum...] the verdict of the first judge was so incomprehensible & injust [on purpose?] that the three judges of Court of Appeal couldn't have arrived at another conclusion as their today's. Interestingly, they [the 3 judges] were competent and allowed to analyse the "case", whereas the Supreme Court cannot judge on the "case" but only on possible legal impurities ... Brilliant strategy!
Absolutely agree Chateleine, not to mention the 'unbelievable' amount the McCann's were
awarded last time round.I'm sure I read it was the highest amount ever awarded in a Portuguese case.

Madeleine McCann: Portuguese detective wins appeal against order to pay McCanns £394,000
[*]
19 April 2016 • 4:29pm
Goncalo Amaral has won his appeal over a court libel loss against Madeleine McCann's parents, it was being reported on Tuesday.
Emerging reports said three appeal judges had ruled in his favour.
The former Portuguese police chief was ordered to pay Kate and Gerry McCann half a million euros in libel damages (£394,000) in April last year after accusing them of faking their daughter's abduction.

He confirmed the following month he would appeal.
The ex-detective lost his long-running libel battle over his controversial 2008 book claiming the McCanns had faked missing daughter Madeleine's abduction after she died in their Algarve holiday apartment.
Amaral was also ordered to pay interest after a Lisbon judge ruled he had overstepped freedom of speech limits in The Truth of the Lie.
The McCanns announced after the verdict they would plough "every penny" of the payout into the hunt for their daughter, three when she vanished on May 3 2007.
Amaral's appeal thwarted their hopes of spending the money.
Clarence Mitchell, spokesman for the McCanns, was unavailable this afternoon/yesterday afternoon
Isabel Duarte, the Portuguese lawyer who represented the couple over the libel case, confirmed she had learned of the appeal decision in Amaral’s favour and said she was “disappointed” but not surprised.
She said Madeleine’s parents had instructed her to launch an appeal of their own which will be decided by Portugal’s Supreme Court.
She confirmed: “I have just learnt that the three appeal court judges have decided to overturn the original decision in favour of my clients. It was a unanimous decision. The original decision has been revoked.
“I and the McCanns are obviously disappointed but I am not surprised because one of the judges ruled in favour of a previous appeal overturning a ban on the book.
“This decision was an appreciation of the law and not the facts. We can appeal to the Supreme Court which we will do as we have instructions from our clients.
“My understanding from reading the appeal ruling is that the judges have decided Amaral was entitled to write a book the court calls a literary book.
“The court is basically saying he had the right to express his opinions. We obviously hope the appeal will succeed.
“The McCanns never received any compensation money after the original decision although the money was deposited at the court so there is no money to return to Gonzalo Amaral."
Amaral could also not be immediately contacted.

Yes I agree Antonia, and what with the way the tide seems to be turning media wise against the McCann's. Let's hope the sales go through the roof. Karma.

Front pages tomorrow....... Any editors got the balls...
They all want it and waited as long as we have to serve it.....
Should be a 5 page spread. Willl see.
Either way, great to see some MSM in the mix.
Clearly they wanted to say something for a long time,
Broken dam. Flood gates are now open.

Yes - WHERE IS CLARRIE?
The McCann camp will have had notice of this hence the media coverage and police cries of 'she could still be alive' we've seen over the last couple of days. Therefore it's inconceivable that a statement would not have been prepared by the Pink One even if he wasn't actually 'around' today. Same the other week, when GM made his crass and ill-advised appearance to moan regarding Hacked Off, Clarrie was nowhere to be seen.
Has the rat grasped his nose and hoisted himself over the deck rails?
If so... well. That would be interesting considering recent events.

SKY NEWS take on it....
Madeleine McCann Detective Wins Libel Appeal
The former policeman had been ordered to pay the missing girl's parents £433,000 after claiming they faked her abduction.

Goncalo Amaral made the claims in a bestselling book in Portugal
A former Portuguese detective who claimed Madeleine McCann's parents were involved in her disappearance has won an appeal against his libel conviction.
Goncalo Amaral, who led the search for the little girl, was last year ordered to pay £433,000 to Kate and Gerry McCann for claiming they faked Madeleine's abduction after she died in an accident.
He made the allegations in a bestselling book, The Truth Of The Lie.
But the McCann family's lawyer has confirmed that a Portuguese appeals court has overturned the conviction.
Mr Amaral has put a copy of the 16-page judgement on a website.
<img src="http://media.skynews.com/media/images/generated/2014/5/1/306287/default/v1/cegrab-20140501-130120-295-1-206x116.jpg" class="image__item video__teaser-image" alt="Kate and Gerry McCann, the parents of missing Madeleine" />
Play video "2015: Cop To Pay McCanns £350k"
The last page of the document, which is signed by three appeal judges and dated 19 April, confirms the original ruling was being revoked.
When the original judgement was handed down, the McCanns said they were "delighted" with it, saying the publication of the claims had hampered the search for their daughter.
Madeleine was three years old when she vanished while on a family holiday in Portugal in May 2007.
<img src="http://media.skynews.com/media/images/generated/2014/6/11/315720/default/v2/composite-1-206x116.jpg" class="image__item video__teaser-image" alt="Madeleine McCann missing" />

Even though police dramatically scaled back the search for the missing girl, they still believe there is a possibility that they will find her alive.
Her disappearance triggered one of the most high-profile missing persons investigations in British history.

By crumbs, 'The Truth of the Lie' title is getting a good old airing tonight. A nice bonus, or deliberate by the media to bring the book to the public attention?
Why mention the name if they want to suppress the truth? Is the tide changing after all?

No doubt the press will relish 'playing' the McCanns and pulling their strings to get the maximum reactions. The press love bolstering people up, putting them on a pedestal and then cutting them down when their egos have got too big.
Fair enough, though. The Mcs have got away with - well, some would say they have got away with murder...
But they were unbearably arrogant, narcissistic and so hypocritical - frankly, they deserve the backlash.
Who can forget St Kate at the steps of the court in Portugal whining about having to pay for child-care every time they attended the court. Ha! Perhaps they were expecting members of the public to fork out for the babysitters that they themselves refused to pay for at Ocean Club.
Honestly, their hypocrisy is just breathtaking...
Bearing in mind it was the McCanns who sued Detective Amaral rather than the other way round this was Kate at her most unbearable.

Re: GONCALO AMARAL WINS APPEAL! - HE MAY SUE THE McCANNS
It's been such an emotional day for me,and I just type with one finger .....god knows how Amaral feels? This wonderful decision at a stroke wipes away the nutters who appear to harangue us at every turn. Nasty, vile, vindictive stalkers who frequent the blogs and post their bile. Jatyk2 are busy gnashing their teeth, slagging Portugals justice system, Canada12 has been calm and steady repeating the same line in the face of attempted ridicule from CMOMM and even a very few on here. Then this ......this respite, which for the moment confirms and gives us some hope to go forward with, sure in what we believe......it's the begining of the start of the end game. Lots of people have waited for this....savour the moment, embrace the joy......remember Madeleine!

Definitely. The floodgates are open and I don't think there is any turning back. Public opinion is hugely against them. The media are now turning. They are running out of money so can't Carter Ruck people.
And, best of all, they lost their court action against Detective Amaral.
Yes, they will appeal, but I can't see them winning....too much is stacked against them. The PJ files have been widely read and anyone with half a brain-cell can see that their version of events is complete nonsense and does not bear a moment's scrutiny.
They are no different to all those other cases where children go missing in mysterious circumstances and the parents and/or friends/care-givers claim it was 'an abductor' or another unlikely scenario which does not ring true. I mean, they would say that, wouldn't they?
That is not meant to insult the parents and families of the very small number of children who do go missing at the hands of strangers each year. It can and does happen but it is exceptionally unusual statistically speaking.
And there is nothing about this case that gives any indication that it falls into the latter category.
