That she was more interested in trolling at one point enrolling Cristobel in the ill fated Sun article, not to mention working for Sky tv and taking , one would presume , Murdochs shilling. I also found the trailer " teaser" quite bizzare and cannot understand why Kate would open the door to an unknown journalist unless she knew who it was approaching and what they were to discuss? As for the Amy conversation, well ,how do we know it is her. Many on here have defended the man she points to...I'm not on the fence with this,I'm on the other side and have very great reservations still as to the game plan.... Rolling Eyes

I usually go on gut feelings and I`d never trust myself again if Sonia turned out to be anything other than genuine.

Sometimes you hear awful stories about people - not just on the Internet but in the real world too - but, when you encounter them, they are perfectly fine.

You can only judge them by their behaviour around you; if the stories have any foundation in truth, you'll find that out for yourself and at least then you won't just have listened to gossip and hearsay.

As for the twins, well, they have been thrown in the spotlight originally by the parents, how many stories have there been about them?  It is not nice and not right but you cannot throw that at Sonia, for heaven's sake the forums do far worse damage by what is sometimes said.... which we try to avoid here I may add.

It all if's and maybe's with this case, why not just wait patiently?

Yes, true, the parents did throw the twins into the spotlight - as their parents that's their right, and I bet most of those stories were given to the media via Clarence - but fact is Sonia went on to private property, which isn't her right, to doorstep Kate and the door could have been opened by one of the under-age twins. The twins should not be fair game for any doorsteppers looking for a scoop for her 'Untold Story'. It's bad enough what Stephen Birch does.

It's not like Sonia saw them in the street and approached them, she went on to private property which is trespassing, a criminal offence. It is not trespass to enter private property with consent.

So I wonder which it was? Trespass or consent?

Not a peep was made of this 'unsolicited' 'criminal?' doorstepping, I'm suprised Tracey Kandohla wasn't enlisted for one of her exclusives. Laughing

Just as a matter of interest, are unsolicited nuisances like sales people and Jehovah's Witnesses also considered to be trespassing on private property?

I`m sure it`s not trespassing, not that trespassing is a crime. The best way to get rid of JWs is a powerful water pistol or a bucket of water out the window.

That's right, I remember now - is it only a crime if they cause damage while on the premises?

I'll stick to shutting the door very promptly whenever these pests turn up - throwing water from the ground floor is a bit difficult!

Those people are either hoping to sell you something or hoping to convert you with a copy of the Watchtower.  Laughing

It's a bit different, surely, for a reporter to enter your private property with a film crew without permission to record an interview without permission to be used in a film that is supposedly to be 'anti' that person that could potentially be viewed by millions, all without permission.

Surely there must be a code of conduct for journalists to abide by when it comes to a citizen on their own private property, especially when in all likelihood children are present?

I've been having a rummage round and there is nothing illegal about door-stepping anyone in the news, as long as you **** off if told to.

This is the NUJ's code of contact.

https://www.nuj.org.uk/about/nuj-code/

I contacted them some time ago to ask if Lorraine Kelly was a member as, if she is, her moronic hate-filled rants certainly break the code. Alas, I never received a reply.

We could probably argue till the cows come home about whether or not it was a good idea for Sonia to call at Rothley Towers so let's just leave it at that.

For me there is this uncomfortable feeling I get with Sonia (along with R D Hall and the hosts of this Youtube interview). Those with a "alternative"/"truther" or conspiracy theory angle
whom latch on to very high profile cases like the McCann case. The Government interferance is probably what makes it irresistable.

The fact that Sonia and R D Hall came to the case years after the fact makes me wonder if they both had/have another agenda? Sonia says in this interview that her MSM apperances have completley dried up since pursuing the case so quite a large source of income gone I'd have thought? I have nothing against her or anyone else and do agree with some things she has said but most people IMO will shy away from those with a more left field/out there view which I feel that Sonia (and R D Hall) represent.

If the MSM have unfairly dropped Sonia like a hot potato and are a part of a "wider agenda" cover up then I would release the doc for free on whatever platform(s) to get the truth out there. What is there to lose? There would be a lot to gain if it was explosive....

@TTWO

I think Richard D Hall`s only agenda is to investigate the MSM and what they don`t tell you - he covers all sorts of cases as and when he hears about them.

I think Sonia is just an exaggerated copy of all of us.  She feels the same as us, knows that lies have been told and that the MSM have colluded with the lies.  But she goes one (or three!) steps further. She`s willing to put her head above the parapet, but I do feel her heart is in the right place.

PS I agree she should not have door stepped the McCanns especially with a camera man - that is going way too far over the top.

PPS It was ok for Martin Brunt to doorstep Brenda it seems.

... and a lot to lose. Sonia has already offered the documentary to UK broadcasters and been advised (as I understand it) that it is not appropriate for it to be broadcast until OG closes down. The point is that if and when it is broadcast in the UK Sonia and her production team will receive payment for the work they've done. If its published elsewhere before OG closes, that payment may well not be forthcoming or not to the same level.

It seems clear to me that Sonia has no doubt whatsoever that no abduction occurred and, beyond that, that the powers to be are involved in covering something up. If OG closes without a clear conclusion, Sonia's documentary will be seen as more explosive.

I cannot see anything that persuades me that Sonia is anything other than I've described above. I'm afraid that the tone of discussion seen here today ("Did she trespass?") is more akin to what we sometimes see over the road. Let us not do down that route.

There is no law against door-stepping just as there is no law against door-to-door salesmen or people dropping leaflets through your door or people asking for money for charity or money for sponsorship.

However, I think there should be a law against people asking for donations for a fund to find a child when a police investigation in the country in which the child disappeared have already formed the opinion that the child is dead and the parents faked an abduction.

IMO!

I don't think anyone here have much doubt about no abduction and some form of cover up (what and who is being covered up is arguable, though!)

I really can't see what she can lose if she has facts and truths in a documentary she funded herself in part (or was it paid for?). For a fearless activist that takes no crap from anyone...

Like I said get the doc out there and the truth and facts will vindicate her.

Again, I have nothing against her, but can only judge based on past history. She does have form for promising a documentary with explosive facts and truths and didn't deliver (David Icke/People's Voice row). Citing OG as a reason for not releasing the doc herself seems awfully convenient frankly.

I'm sorry to read your last sentence. (Deleted) I hope over the years of this case I've shown I'm not a nasty person but at the same time I really don't like it when someone says they'll do this/that/other and then thus far not deliver. It is pretty infuriating when Sonia is a professional journalist.....IMO.

We're all waiting for Sonia's documentary and it's understandable that peoples' interest in it waivers over time. But to be fair to her, Sonia did in February publish a diary outlining the production steps and difficulties of the documentary:

http://www.theuntoldstoryofmadeleinemccann.com/

I'm fast coming to the conclusion that this case is never going to end satisfactorily from our viewpoint: clearly someone is being protected with determination and I don't see that changing. The McCanns saw the early stages of this protection - the person being extricated from PdL and Government activity in the area - and worked out a scheme to make shedloads of money safe in the knowledge that they won't be prosecuted. I wonder if they're now wishing they hadn't adopted such a greedy plan.

Perhaps I'm changing my position by 180 degrees: should Sonia publish her work now? Certainly it would blow the case wide open, but I rather suspect it would severely limit her life-expectancy. Do we really want another death?

I don't have my own account but do have access to my brothers but would rather not use that....

To be honest my questions probably wouldn't be answered and the last entry of the dairy was 18 months ago. I'm sure, like everyone before her, she came up against a brick wall and got little new info at all and this is why the doc hasn't arrived. We can all agree with her there is a lot rotten in the story and not just with the McCann side. Media and Government too. If I'm wrong and she has secured new info that furthers the case or exposes those trying to cover up etc then in light of being shunned by every single TV production company, monetise it on Youtube.

I can never understand the stubborn stance of saying the TV platform is the only place it should be released on when all those that control it have shunned the doc and now her! Ridiculous in my eyes...

Get it out there where you can and the vampires (MSM) will come flocking with cash in hand.

I speak to Sonia on a regular basis. For what my word is worth, I can assure people she is a genuine person, who has a good heart. She has worked extremely hard on the documentary, and has made sure to get her facts absolutely correct. She is somebody I class as a true friend, both as someone I have worked with, and on a personal level. Yes she put Linda Hutton in touch with the journo from The Sun, but that was the only involvement she had. The opportunity arose, Linda gave the interview, the dreadful result, was solely down to what Linda said, and how she portrayed herself.

I can only give my opinion based upon knowing Sonia, but that opinion is that I trust her 100%.

Again, I hope my posts haven't prompted you to feel the need to defend her, Pseudo Nym? I'm sure IRL Sonia is very nice I'm just personally flabbergasted that the doc is sitting right there gathering dust. It just seems so counterproductive and cutting off your nose to spite the face...leaving aside the personal investment she and Dave Eden have put in. Just to rub salt into that wound the MSM that regularly had her do appearances/articles have now dried up!

Like I said before if this was me I'd stick two fingers up to the MSM and go it alone via YouTube or other online platform if I was so confident in the quality of the doc.

Fair enough. I wouldn't get your hopes up about the doc, though. Sonia made it clear in the production dairy 18 months ago it won't see the light of day because no TV company want it. The only caveat is possibly after OG is finished (no resolution) but can't see how that would change things as far as the TV companies are concerned? If OG ends with arrests that would be even worse because that would mean Sonia's doc would be left in the dust of the MSM scrambling around the big news IMO.

That's not quite what she said. It's true to say Sonia has encountered many difficulties. Production companies are interested, but with demands. At the end of the day, it's Sonia's doc, and she wants it to reach an audience that isn't as aware of the facts of the case, as perhaps we - members of the groups, forums, #McCann followers - are. It's frustrating, but I'm sure it will be available at some point.
