I really did despair at the people who were saying how funny it was.

How do you mean taken over??

All I know is that I had a message from another member asking if I knew why the old group had gone. I had a look and found the new one; not that I understand how it's done but I think that Pam Gurney and others have set themselves up as Admin and removed everyone else.

I can't copy the list of names and I don't know if this link is accessible to non-Facebook members.

I saw something on twitter about the group being hacked?? How does this happen, how can someone set themselves up as admin and oust others??? Didn't it happen to HiDeHo and she had to set up another group a while ago........... I just don't get how all that works

No chance of me understanding how it's done either but yes I'm sure that it's happened before in other groups.

Don't understand this at all? It's now been changed to a secret group due to non payment?? No idea what this means but I joined a few weeks ago and I'm still a member, loved it but don't like the word "secret", don't know whether to leave or not?? What's happening here!

I was on the site at around 6 am this morning and there were warning posts, seemingly there had been a lot of disruption earlier. There was an old Daily Express article that I was 'trying' to copy. It's really sad, especially as Frances Gallagher is abroad on holiday.

I'm not a member but from what I can gather, the original group was hacked and taken over by Pam Gurney and her cronies. I think someone on Ab Scam was made an admin so they got in through their account, either by hacking or he was a plant.
The new admins have started deleting several thousand posts, losing lots of valuable info.
A new group has been started and the admins are working flat out re adding people. I suppose you can also ask to join the new group. I would remove yourself from the old group if you can but not sure if you can even access it now. I can't but like I say I wasn't a member anyway.

Thanks peeps, I'm going to remove myself and just see how it pans out, don't want pros with any of info getting near me!

One things for sure, there's not much pros now I would think, so pretty pointless in the end!

A screenshot has been saved re- the 'supposed' new 'Admin' and mods, apologies can't copy. Two names on the mod list are in my opinion unbelievable!!! Jason Mills has posted saying they are trying to re-store the original site.

My feeling is the new admins have made those 2 names mods to stir up the Ab Scam members against those 2. I can see lots of posts from members of the new AS group saying remove a certain person as they are in bed with the pros

I left the group ddl and have joined the new one, there is a post their telling all members not to leave the old group, as they are trying to restore it. Will wait to hear more info.
