Yes, truly shocking this one. Girlfriend and boyfriend by the looks of it.

What a dreadful case and if it is the victim's daughter/sister, makes it even worse.

Was always lots of speculation that it was the daughter/sister and her bf that did it.

I don't see how they can be anyone else.

What was their motive and how did they have access to the house otherwise?

It did seem to be almost impossible that these creatures could be anyone outside the family.

I think it is good that their names have been revealed in the press.  But I just can't understand what could motivate or encourage youngsters to commit such a dreadful act, and why ?   14 year olds planning something so horrendous, I'm lost for words.    



It can be reported today that their killers were Ms Edwards' own daughter, Kim, and her tearaway boyfriend Lucas Markham, who were both 14 at the time, and their crime was motivated by petty jealousy.

The couple, likened to Bonnie and Clyde during their trial, had sex, shared a bath, ate tea cakes and ice cream and watched four Twilight vampire films as they 'revelled' after the killings.  

The identities of the couple could not be reported throughout a trial at Nottingham Crown Court in 2016 because of their age, but restrictions on naming the pair were lifted by three judges at London's Court of Appeal today.

The same error was repeated several times that the couple is the youngest to be convicted of murder - what about James Bulger's killers?

James Bulger's killers were only 10 at the time of the crime.

The 2 teenagers are the youngest double killers as they killed 2 people at the same time.

I never knew there was an older daughter.

To me, the programme didn't seem unfair. I didn't get the impression that Elizabeth Edwards abandoned her daughter when she was six.

Yes, Kim was taken into care because of what was apparently an isolated act of violence against her but she returned home a few months later. That isn't abandonment in my view.
