Salient points: (not verbatim - just my recollection)

Sonia: I've been to 3 divisions of the Met to complain about aggressive trolling with regards to the McCann dossier.
None of them could offer any help - didn't even know how to go about it - pathetic

Katie: The cops have better things to do than investigate abusive posts - get over it or out of the forum

Sonia: You are a recognised face - you would get protection

Katie: Let me just read a post I had this morning: 'Katie, we will break into your house tie you up and murder
your children in front of you' - Do I go running to the police - no - these posts are written by little boys who live with their parents and floss their teeth with their toes.

Sonia: Malicious, threatening posts should be investigated - as long as we don't curtail free speech or disallow questioning the official version of events

Oh dear, some didn't like it - she must have been good .......

Yes, that is all sky have put up......I presume that was about Brenda Leyland??

Sonia mentioned having reported trolling to 3 divisions of the Met to no avail and that the trolling was in connection to
the McCann dossier - having just watched the source material on Sky  - that bit has indeed been cut

Katie Hopkins is growing on me.

I sometimes agree with the very unPC things she says, that nobody else would dare say. But one day she`ll be in real trouble when she upsets the wrong person IMO.

He was in a bit of a panic there for a moment wasn't he.

He got quite hysterical about the face that they were live. Unchartered McCann territory, unscripted McCann chat on live media.

Which tells us a lot about how controlled everything that is released about the case is.

Exception that proves the rule? The wonderful bumbly BHH. What would we do without him?

The McCanns (Gerry at Leveson) stated they are happy for anyone* to purport a theory about what happened to Madeleine.

*by anyone they mean: Summers and Swan, Martin Brunt, Lorraine Kelly, Jim Gamble and the numerous other lesser mortals who know how to stick to the script.

As for the rest of us they can't stop us purporting theories but they don't want us to voice those theories in print, out loud or over the internet.

So now we are in a situation where we know, the press know, the millions of people worldwide who have read The Truth of the Lie and the police reports know and yet we are all expected to remain silent and kowtow to the the McCanns.

This case isn't simply about the disappearance of a little girl, it's about freedom of speech.

Just had a quick look on the Mccann twitter feed. Jim Gamble getting it from all ends now and rightly so.

#askgamble seems to be the latest that's trending.
