Utterly, utterly tragic. All the lives and souls of men over the centuries that have gone into building, maintaining and decorating this building with priceless history and art. To say nothing of the souls that have prayed and sought refuge and solace.

I am devastated too at the loss of such incredible history. My most favourite view of Paris is the rear of Notre Dame looking back from a boat on the river.
