Re: Suggestions to improve the forum/Any Questions/Complaints
Yes, I started one of those on the other forum, so a good idea again Andrew.
Will make it a sticky in the Debate/Discussion forum later.

Bonjour Candyfloss :-)
Would it be possible that alert emails re new comments, are only sent if members themselves ask for it. I mean CLICK on a Topic one wishes to follow and not the other way around, viz. that every new topic automatically is alerted too and continues to be so until I click the "Stop watching". I greatly appreciate your forum and all you're doing for us, so no criticism, but I'm getting a bit jumpy at deleting hundreds of emails
I'm perfectly happy with logging in on the Homepage and with the colour coding immediately see, which are the comments I've NOT read yet.
Bisous, Châtelaine

Re: Suggestions to improve the forum/Any Questions/Complaints
Does anyone know why my deleted messages (inbox and sent items) keep reappearing? I deleted them twice yesterday, checked, nothing there yet when I log back in there they are, am I doing something wrong?

Re: Suggestions to improve the forum/Any Questions/Complaints
Can i suggest we have a 'Health thread' .
As someone who had been ill for two years thanks to the incompetence of the NHS and pretty much every GP and specialist i've come across and every antibiotic known to mankind.
I gave up all medical attention and medications and waste of time vitamin supplements and found help from ordinary people from the internet and now am nearly better thanks to discussion forums and wine !

Re: Suggestions to improve the forum/Any Questions/Complaints
I was about to reply to something on the Smithman thread but wanted to read through one of my other posts on it first.
Anyway on page 3 of the Smithman thread and on 2 of my posts there are several words that are highlighted and a link attached to it by 'viglink'.
It directs you to some nonsense.
What's all that about? Does anyone know or does it just show up on my computer?
Not seen it anywhere else. Baffled??

I don't get anything either Andrew. Have you got ad blocker on on your computer?

No, but Chilly Heat posted it in The lounge somewhere a while back IIRC...... Actually I meant the pop up blocker on the computer which comes on the tool bar, I called it the wrong thing .That may stop it.

Is there a forum hiccup again?
Loads of recent posts have gone missing since I last logged on a couple of hours ago?

Actually - I don't think any posts have gone missing.
Just the time and date all over the place.
Or is it just my computer for some reason...

Re: Suggestions to improve the forum/Any Questions/Complaints
Just checked and it has moved on to the 28th and for a totally different country/city. If I change the city the date still stays at 28th???? Doh, they are messing about again by the looks of it. Hopefully it will get done soon.
Re: Suggestions to improve the forum/Any Questions/Complaints
You need to check the preferences via your profile page - somehow the wrong time zone was showing.

Re: Suggestions to improve the forum/Any Questions/Complaints
I have changed it in admin, so now when you are a guest if shows correct date and time - but when logged in it is wrong and showing tomorrows date and 2 hours behind. You therefore need to go into your profile and change it to London time. The date then changes automatically when you save the London setting.
