Have you all seen Shaun Attwood's recent interview with Sonia Poulton. They discuss child abuse generally including the Jeffrey Epstein case, but there is a huge chunk on MM.

It doesn't help when basic information is wrong - I've started to listen and Lord Mountbatten is mentioned, with allegations of child abuse.

Sonia at first says he was Charles' grandfather - then that she's unsure if he was his godfather or some other senior relative. It would have taken a minute to confirm that he was Charles' great-uncle.

Then there were allegations that Lord M had boys on the boat with him. Yes, he did - one local boy who was in charge of the boat and his twin grandsons who were there with their parents!

Yes she got that wrong about Mountbatten, but I can forgive that considering the amount of stuff she's got stored in her brain. Don't know how she remembers and can pull it all together just like that, one thing after another.
I don't know the full story about Mountbatten.
Like a lot of journos, I expect she exaggerates and dramatises but, to me, she's nailed the nub of it.

2. It has always made me wonder whether the royal family were really that close to Jimmy Savile or whether they just went along with his stupid behaviour because of his charity work and to appear socially up with the times. I bet JS was very pushy as well and how could they say no when he was involved in so many good causes. Sometimes the royals are really naive.

The bit about the McCanns seems okay from my initial listen to it.

I haven't myself seen any believable evidence that Lord Mountbatten was a paedophile.

Apparently the FBI thought he was a paedophile, but of course they weren't necessarily correct.

I would have thought that, if the allegations were true, we'd have had loads of people coming forward with their stories, as happened with Jimmy Savile after his death.

I've never heard that he and the latter were friends.

I thought that the floodgates would open after the death of Lord McAlpine, about whom there were dreadful stories of abuse and even murder on the Internet, but there hasn't been a peep out of anyone.

I've just come across a series of crime videos from an American duo under the name of True Crime Recaps.

I certainly get the opinion that their view is that the McCanns' story isn't believable. I'm not sure if I knew that there is a 15 year statute of limitations in Portugal so after 2022, nobody could be charged there in relation to the case.
