Ah... but WHICH tennis courts? What Madeleine is wearing in this photo looks exactly like what she was wearing in some other photos which were definitely NOT taken at PDL. I'll try and source those photos later on as I'm at work today.

I don't think this photo was taken at PDL.

Just to correct this and add to it - not a tennis court but a playground:

It's odd how this photo of Gerry with Madeleine and Amelie in that playground has appeared now and has not been seen before, as far as I am aware. I think the playground photo with Madeleine on the seesaw has been around for a long time but Gerry wasn't in the photo. I wonder if he was ever there with Madeleine (and Amelie) in the first place? Or could this possibly be (yet another, imo) attempt at retrofitting? A nice PR photo to support the sentiment behind the 'special bond' that fathers have with daughters comments, perhaps?

Indeed he does and although he had a couple of meltdowns on here I do like the way he takes aim at Bennett's machinations.
A bit too robust for here but better suited to the trench warfare that is twitter.

A most disturbing detail came out of two depositions made to the Leicester Police on May 16, 2007, by Katherine and Arul Gaspar, two doctors who know the McCanns well and holidayed with them in Majorca in 2005. They reported hearing comments back then, from a member of the eventual Tapas 7 on the Majorca trip, to Gerry McCann about Madeleine, using lewd gestures which the Gaspars found very disturbing, making them apprehensive of his presence around their own children.

The Gaspar depositions were only passed on to the Portuguese Polizia Judiciaria and entered into the procès verbal in January, 2008.

I spoke to Mr Smith at length. He stands firmly over his statement which he gave the police. He is still 60-80% sure the man he saw carrying a child that night was Gerry #McCann. He contacted the BBC to say they were wrong about him withdrawing this

i guess 60 to 80 is more than 49....but both figures are less than sure and i do worry that less than 100 percent means they dont really know and where would that stand in a court of law?

I wouldn't convict anyone myself if there was only a 60 to 80 per cent degree of certainty over their guilt.

No you couldn't, but hypothetically talking about many crimes in the past, when lots of things are used to form an overall picture, then that sort of evidence can be used and often is.  The Prout case was nearly all circumstantial IIRC.

I remember commenting at the time,in the drama "Little Boy Blue" about the killing of Rhys Jones,a witness would only commit to being 90% certain of who the killer was,this wasn't good enough for the cps they wanted 100%, they got it in the end.

A very good question on twitter, I have often wondered why the tapas lot would run back to the apartment looking for Madeleine yet not get their own kids checked to see if they were safe. Diane Webster did not move and apparently sat at the table. Wouldn't that be the first instinct to go to your own kids. Or perhaps they did, it is so long now but I cannot remember reading it. This is the question...…..

So, the Tapas 7 all left their children alone sleeping in their rooms whilst they dined...Why did they not panic & immediately check their own children when they discovered Madeline was gone? Has anyone even questioned this?
