He looks suspicious to me, not wanting to bump into the other pedestrian, and returning with something over his shoulder.

Yep Freedom, I was aware of that bit but hadn`t really followed the case in any depth before.

I`d always assumed they were god fearing folks and it turns out they are from a few videos I`ve watched and stuff I`ve been reading.  The Dad comes across far differently from the Mum.

In this interview with the Mum she talks about her faith. (btw there are many similarities to the language used by the Mcs but I suppose that`s to be expected).

I`ve only just become aware that Claudia`s hair straighteners have never been found and also that she was dyeing someone`s (or her own) hair an auburn colour that evening.

It seems odd that the police did not release the CCTV image of that man until 6 years later - also the police never searched that back alley at the time.

I don't remember hearing about the hair dye and straighteners before. I have read this book and I don't think there was a mention there.

Mind you, it was hard to continue reading after the author's comment to the effect of Claudia's disappearance was a mystery unlike that of Madeleine McCann who was undoubtedly abducted.

I find this fact completely unremarkable.

Well, yes, they're not likely to want to proclaim it to the world but, if they had nothing to do with her disappearance, they ought to be truthful.

Yes - a very interesting read. No evidence and noone willing to talk.

I used to have this feeling it was a member of her family - but not likely.

My only thoughts about what I just read were that whereas women often feel extremely vengeful about things -men dont seem to quite as much. Murder is
a pretty extreme way of getting back at Claudia. I think she probably wore her heart on her sleeve.. I dont get the impression she was a devious operator.

Someone got very upset with her over her 'affair' perhaps - but I would imagine that person would have been a woman. However the CCTV did show a man and I
do believe it was a man or men that killed her. The fact that they got 4 men and released them is all very strange..

I think that this is the same programme to which I posted a YouTube link in November 2015 but it's no longer available.

The presenter is Donal MacIntyre so don't expect much from it.
