Was there no postmark on the envelope? Just wondered as you said you assumed it came from NI due to the banknote.

@ PM - I read that message with the others, and I am really heartened that it just shows that these so called "trolls" donating for GA, Madeleine and Brenda are intelligent, articulate, aware people, not low life scum as they have often been portrayed (but then we knew that anyway didn't we?).

I owe a debt of gratitude to a shill that dragged me into an argument this morning, using their usual non-factual rubbish & plentiful use of the word 'HATE' as if it's the most clever argument going!, thank you shill, you inspired me to donate again!. I'm 54 & can't remember any other time in all those years, that people were actually employed to argue & libel people just to make the other party look like the victims. There seems to be an entire industry set up to spew bile & libellous remarks about Goncalo Amaral!, a man who was simply doing his job, solving crimes etc. For whatever reason, the MSM have protected the guilty & opened fire on the detective! stories that paint him as a liar, a money grabber, he's also been labelled an animal in one paper!. We should hang our heads in shame that we have a press who protect individuals who hurt/harm the very people we should move heaven & earth to protect as they can't protect themselves!, & what's more, children should be allowed to be just that 'children', who have their whole life ahead of them, or at least should have!. this whole affair leaves a pretty bad taste in the mouth!, what the hell are we coming too if we can't protect the vulnerable?!!. The McCanns are lording it up & celebrated as the good guys, Kate becoming the ambassador for missing people, Gerry getting a standing ovation at a police bravery award ceremony!. WTF is that about?, would you really make someone an ambassador for missing people who's clothes reeked of cadaver & who'd refused to answer questions or take part in a reconstruction?, it appears, to me anyway, that the McCanns, for whatever reason, must be portrayed as Mr & Mrs wonderful! & woe betide anyone who doesn't!. So true - about standing back I mean.  I get too bogged down in the detail of this case. I suppose we all do, including SY.   If one stands right back and takes a bird`s eye view, it`s blinkin` amazing what they`ve got away with and how the public have been fooled.  It`s ridiculous.

TB listed recently all the involvements of the security and other specialist services brought in pronto and when one sees them listed like that, rather than piecemeal, it shouts "big government cover-up".

I just can't get my head round that on the one hand we have the government spending £400,000 trying, and failing, to keep Prince Charles letters secret through our own courts and on the other hand the "Madeleine mystery".

A tale involving hundreds or even thousands of people spanning multiple agencies of government, police and media. Does not compute.

If it really is a cover up, for whatever reason, it will go down in history as the most bizarre.

The formation of many of the capital letters is similar or identical imo.

I am aware that more than 2 people have similar writing styles but I find this truly bizarre.

Indeed I do, Freedom and am saying nothing more than many of the capitals if you look very closely, are strangely similar.

Was this letter posted over on CMOMM? Am looking but can't find it.

I have to say that I don't understand why this letter is being questioned so much.

I still think that a likely contender is the person who used to post on the Madeleine Foundation website. This is a comment from his Facebook page. Note the dodgy spelling, not to mention the geography problem. No block capitals this time though!

I have lost a draft where I was comparing individual letters. All I can say is that cap I written as such when standing alone, in words written as a straight line.

The G is not as it looks here, with a straight line crossing the upward curve, but a continuous G.

Upward slanting tops of letters e.g. E, F, T.

M more curved than sharp at the top.

L very alike, as are R, N and S.

No comparison between the 2 pieces of writing, but the P and Y are very distinctive within this note when compared to how other letters are written.
