I was thinking of cases like that, WB.

While I don't think that there's any doubt that Jimmy Savile was a sexual predator, I do wonder if some of the stories have been made up.

The case in New Zealand sounds to me like a vindictive woman getting revenge on her husband.

A murky and complex story. The Facebook group with its televised hand signals intrigued me:

Widespread abuse over very many years. Still, look at the number of convictions...astonishing. What is the vetting process for people who work in care homes and residential centres for vulnerable young people? Why is it so deeply flawed?

Others accused of abuse were the former head of MI6 Sir Maurice Oldfield, the late Labour peer Greville Janner and the ex-head of MI5 Sir Michael Hanley.

Well he was right on (at least?) one of them, wasn't he?

There's something fishy about this Carl Beech story. The sentence is disproportionately long for one thing. It's up to the police to establish whether allegations have any substance before spending millions on an investigation. Given that there have been red flags around some of the names for years, my initial reaction is that Beech is some kind of 'patsy' and/or an example is being set to ensure abuse victims keep their mouths shut.

In the Holly Greig case, the most likely explanation, imo, from what I have read is that she is the victim of paedophile abuse from a family member who was part of an organised paedophile ring.

And let us not forget that, according to Kate McCann and her family and friends, Madeleine was likely to have been abducted by a paedophile who could be part of a paedophile ring.
