I've read it on kindle and I thought it was pretty good. There's a very detailed section on forensics, a clear explanation of the DNA evidence and I thought it was informative. I got in trouble on CMoMM because I quoted from it, about the apartment being cleaned 'thoroughly'. They didn't like the adverb, I seem to remember.

...There's also a chapter on the Smith sighting, which is  why I think it is disapproved of over yonder.

Now I am going to buy it

So what's he said then that has p!ssed CMoMM off?

I don't know what his theories on the case are at all as not read the book or know much about it?

I am obviously missing something here, is this really worth getting hot under the collar about?

Shop workers have placed a sale sticker reading ‘when it’s gone it’s gone!’ on a book about missing toddler Madeleine McCann.

Stationery shop The Works has apologised ‘unreservedly’ for the insensitive mistake after a shopper spotted the awkward positioning of the sticker on the book.



Danny Collins’ book ‘Madeleine McCann: Ten Years On’ had been marked down in price from £7.99 to £3 – with the slogan visible right next to an image of Madeleine on the cover.

A photograph of the blunder was posted on Twitter by a woman who wrote: ‘Of all the price sticker choices.’

Madeleine’s parents Kate and Gerry recently spoke out on the tenth anniversary of her disappearance during a family holiday in Portugal.
In the book, Mr Collins, a journalist who wrote about Madeleine’s disappearance at the time, discussed his theory about what happened to the toddler.

He claims she was not snatched from her bedroom that night, as is widely believed, but instead left the room herself.

Madness, all books get reduced eventually.  The Danny Collins books thanks to this nonsense has now gone up in the list at Amazon.  Was it a free plug for the book, or just something to get Madeleine selling papers again, who knows. 

Doing my head in all this rubbish they keep printing as 'news'.

Here's a blast from the past, going back to Page 1 of this topic, about the dynamic duo Summers and Swann.

now you can see what happened with bad media reporting.

because pat brown has the idea it was wolters who asked for officers from grange to testify. the thruth is, there is no direct role for wolters in this trial, they have a female prosecution officer handling the cases in court at the moment.

also to hear officers of operation grange, was a motion granted to the defence team. they simply want to hear hpow many versions there really can be from the stories told by helge b.

helge b. talked first in 2017 in greece to officers of operation grange, it is supposed that the videos that have not been seen by others than helge b. segments by manfred s and the rest says nope never seen anything and they even have hardly or even no memory of helge b. himself, certainly not an officer of the law who was able to look at the videos.

it is this part of helge b. his stories that resulted in the 2005 rape case and a conviction, even the descripton of the females in the video testimony could never been from the victim in the 2005 rape case at all. this was at the time stated in court by the judges, the helge b. and manfred s. testimony was used there to place cb in a likewise mo.

but in between there also has been a statement of both to the bka during the investigation.

the trial that is going on has again the supposed victims as stated by both their words in supposed videos.

so that is 3 cases that directly result from helge b. his stories. and 2 of them are now on trial, so it is legimate to see how truthful this helge b. is as a witness.
earlier the defence team of cb has tried to get a reopening of the 2005 rape case, but that case is still seen as reached a final verdict. and legally seen there are still very week points, and has to be seen as a walk on a very thin fence line.
that is never a good thing, a verdict must be sound.

so now the german prosecution has chosen to bring both the cases from unknown dates and unknown victims, one even on a unknown place it is not surprising that the defence have opened the hunt for the main witness helge b. and how trustworthy he is.

that can not be very much to the liking of the prosecution at all, because helge b. was the main witness in the 2005 rape case, 2 of the cases now in court, and because the implication of cb in the madeleine case rest also on the words of helge b. he still is an important witness.

and it is not only these 3 supposed rape cases, but also will it reflect on the 2004 case of holiday rep hazel b. and that came in by her own, after her brother had seen news about cb and recognizing parts that sounded like the case of his sister.

and as the prosecution wants not only simple convictions, but also beside punishment by doing jail time, after that also a secure holding order to keep cb out of society.

so the ones who are asked to testify in court are the officers connected to operation grange in 2017, who spoke to helge b, in first instance and all contacts after.
dave edgar is less sure, helge b. said before to have made known what he thought and knew about ch by calling the special maddie hotline in spring 2008 that scotland yard manned. he even said that multipletimes in the same wording in interviews on video.

scotland yard was not part of the investigation that was working besides that of the portuguese pj in 2007 or 2008, they came only in after the mccanns had asked them by media to do a review.
leichester police had no special maddie hotline, they made use of crimestoppers for public connections.

so how dave edgar walked in can only be because the so called special maddie hotline available was one through the fund and the mccanns, that was in oversight by dave edgar between unknown exact dates in time.
if the media reports about dave edgar are correct, dave edgar can tell nothing from direct contact with a helge b. in spring 2008, and has no longer any paperwork, because he handed that to operation grange around 2011.

so all is only possible because the german prosecution has taken a bet with the two supposed in almost everything cases, and these two cases go back to the same testimony earlier on from helge b.
so nothing of the witnesses will be declearing about madeleine mccann, there are still no charges, or court booked for that case, it is now only about these two cases itself.

i agree is all outings of the prosecution press officer to date are not of much quality, also not done in a way that legally can be seen as fair. without charges the person has no way or means to know what he/she is up about. and because charges are lacking it also means you can not get funding for a lawyer in that matter too.

and this is certainly not a wish of the prosecution in this case to let the grange connections speak up in court, think about it, helge b. is german, and we do not know if a translator was used during the first contacts at all, but there has been some translation to get it too both parties too understand it all, and it had to be translated back to german later on, when grange offered the information to the bka.

and their are certainly discrepanties between all statements of helge b and manfred s known. not only from their most recent stint, amaral even have written about it in his second book about the madeleine case.

and it can be difficult to understand for the ones who are used to trials under common law, but in most continental law systems, there are not truly witness from both parties, but they can ask the judge team to let people testify, if that is granted they are to be seen as witnesses of the court.

i trully do hope one or more reporters get at least these statements verbatim in their articles, and not keep going on in their now truly sloppy manner.

all that is out there in the media has to be taken with wide margins about how it really was said in court. there is hardly media that feels the need to inform its public, most are more to opinions in what they like or dislike.
