They did say it was bigger than the Saville scandal.

Something is nagging me about the validity of this whole episode, but I can't quite put my finger on what it is.

I will say that it's a remarkable coincidence that whenever the dam seems to be about to break regarding child abuse among the elites (pizzagate, on this occasion) suddenly a whole raft of "little people" start getting it in the neck.

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-4032326/Former-football-coach-Barry-Bennell-appears-court.html

Former football coach Barry Bennell has been remanded in custody after appearing at South Cheshire Magistrates' Court charged with child sex offences.
He is accused of eight offences of sexual assault against a boy under the age of 14.
The CPS said it received a file of evidence from Cheshire Police on September 27 relating to allegations of non-recent child sexual abuse involving Bennell.
The offences are alleged to have been committed between 1981 and 1985.
Bennell is charged with five counts of indecent assault on a boy under the age of 14, two counts of inciting a boy under 14 to commit an act of gross indecency and one count of assault with intent to commit buggery.

The Cairney arrest above makes five the number of Celtic employees arrested, charged or convicted of child sex abuse.

Cairney,Torbett,Cullen,King and McCafferty. How many does it need to be a paedo ring?

Interesting to see Celtic asked any victims to contact the club rather than the police with any fresh allegations.

I wonder where they got that idea from.

Maybe an infamous doctor and former staff member is advising them.

Thanks for posting that, GibJim.

It really is shocking stuff. Very much under the radar as well. Not seen anything in the news about it (apart from your link and a couple of others when just did a google).

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-4464824/Paedophile-ex-Celtic-Boys-Club-founder-tracked-USA.html

Paedophile former Celtic Boys Club football coach Jim Torbett is tracked down in a Californian shopping centre as he denies latest abuse claims
Jim Torbett, 69, who was the founder of Celtic Boys Club in Scotland, was jailed in 1998 for two years for abusing three young footballers between 1967 and 1974
But new allegations against him have risen over alleged abuse in the 80s and 90s
Torbett was tracked down and confronted in America by BBC Scotland reporter
It is unlikely that he declared his conviction when applying for entry to the US
Ex-coach denied being a paedophile and said he'll see alleged victims in court

The noose tightens on a convicted sex offender from Gerry's former emloyers and favourite football club.
Thanks for that Andrew.

Much like the McCann case the Main Stream Media are reluctant to air it.
It could be because there is a major police investigation ongoing or because Celtic, like Team McCann ,have
muzzled them.
Well done to Mark Daly of the BBC for going where no one else in Scotland dared.

Particularly brave with a name like Daly (one of my ancestors monikers)

Off topic (other than that it does involve alleged child abuse) but, unless this is someone with the same name, Mark Daly is the journalist who investigated the Hollie Greig case and was going to do a programme about it until he realised that Hollie's mother Anne was telling a pack of lies.

Needless to say Anne spun the story that Mark Daly had been silenced by the powers that be and the excuse given by them - if I recall correctly - was that MD had had a nervous breakdown.

There's a programme at 10.45 tonight on BBC1 called Football Abuse: the ugly side of the beautiful name.

I see that gibraltarjimmy has deleted his account.

This programme was shown in Scotland a few weeks ago and now it is UK wide with an update from last week.
It looks at the abuse scandal at GM's former club.
It is a must see, if you can stomach it.
