Well worth a read, this is a new move altogether.
The meeting was timed to be exactly 6 months to the date and the hour when she was last seen:
sleeping in her bed seen by the proud father (the one who said that it could have been worse, they could have lost all three) yep, thst one.
So that's sorted then Seven years on suddenly a never before observed remembrance 6 months and at 9.30 pm - are you paying attention Mr. Policeman?

Three days ago, Gerry returned to his job as a heart specialist at Glenfield Hospital in Leicester. Kate, a part-time GP in nearby Melton Mowbray, was reported last week to be looking for a new job in the field of child welfare.

Six months, as close as could be calculated, to the minute since Madeleine McCann disappeared from the bedroom of a Portuguese holiday apartment, her family, friends and neighbours gathered quietly last night to pray for her return.
Her parents, Kate and Gerry McCann, joined well-wishers in the Leicestershire village of Rothley, at a service in the 14th-century church of St Mary and St John. Candles were lit and prayers said for Madeleine and other missing children around the world.
The event was timed to coincide with the last known sighting of three-year-old Maddy, apparently peacefully asleep in her bed, in the Algarve holiday village of Praia de Luz, at 9.30pm on the night of May 3.
Half an hour later, when Kate returned to the apartment from a nearby restaurant, the child had gone.
The 3,500-strong population of Rothley - its trees decked in yellow ribbons and messages of support - came to a near standstill as Kate and Gerry arrived from their nearby home. For hours before, villagers had been filing through the church.
The media attention on this affluent Midlands enclave has not played well with many residents, but last night all were united behind the McCanns. "As a community we want to support them and to show that Madeleine remains in our thoughts," said the Rev Rob Gladstone.
Earlier in the day, the McCanns released a new photograph of their daughter, showing a beaming Madeleine seated on a Shetland pony. Kate, 39, looks fondly on at her side.
The picture was taken on a day out at the Hatton Country World Warwickshire on April 13 - less than three weeks before Madeleine vanished. Two weeks after it was taken, the child, her parents and her two-year-old twin siblings Sean and Amelie began their fateful Portuguese holiday.
In a statement issued yesterday to mark the passing of six months, the McCanns reiterated their belief that their child is alive.
"We believe that our Madeleine is out there somewhere and retain hope that we can be reunited," said Kate. "Madeleine is a beautiful little person, who deserves a happy and loving life. There is no doubt that the best place for her to be is with her family.
"We know that somebody, somewhere, can make this happen. That person has the ability and power to bring about so much joy, as well as bring peace to themselves."
Gerry reiterated his belief that Madeleine is alive and said that he prayed she was being treated like a "princess". In a message on his internet blog he wrote: "It is so painful for us simply being separated, but all the more distressing when we have to speculate about the situation Madeleine finds herself in.
"We have no idea whether she is suffering, but we have to hope and pray that she is being treated like a princess, as she deserves."
Both parents made a fresh plea for anyone with information to "pass it on".
The restrained nature of last night's service signalled a shift away from the high-profile approach previously favoured by the McCanns and their media advisers. Plans for a global "Madeleine Day", featuring the likes of Elton John, JK Rowling and the former American president Bill Clinton, appear to have been quietly shelved, along with plans for further public appearances by the couple.

Re: Telegraph 2/10 - Archive News November 2007.... Prayers for Madeleine 6 months on
Thanks CF! Must admit I overlooked the 2007 date! Google being too helpful and throwing things in when I'm looking at other sites, not even googling!
But the 9.30 struck me although it's quite possible the press thought there was an hour's difference.
Yet in October they were totally with Tannerman, so what's that 9.30 about? oldfield's check when he said he didn't see anything?
Gerry's proud father moment was supposed to be around 9.00' just before he met Wilkins.
Always best to keep a note of whatever lies you tell, time, location... Hard to remember when it hasn't happened.
They'd be hard put to get any number of people to turn up whatever event they dream up next.
Saturation point has been reached as far as the general public is concerned.
Yet a yearly Global Madeleine Day seemed well within reach for a short time just seven years ago.
