Company stops trading. Is that a precursor to bankruptcy ?

This isn't dated so it could be from some time ago - it certainly sounds familiar.

Probably more indicative of the global demand for wristbands having been satisfied many years ago.

You are thinking of this back in 2014, there was a glitch, it was back up and running later. 

This time there is this message from Kate, so it would seem new?

I agree with unorganised that the worldwide demand for good quality wristbands may have diminished.

However, with Xmas approaching surely there is a trickle of orders that would not take long to deal with.

what is making Kate so busy? - is it her new job ? the media is now describing her as a 'medical worker' whatever that is.  She is a qualified doctor - why would she take a lesser job that would involve her being termed a 'medical worker' which I would take to mean having no professional qualifications but working in a medical context.

I right-clicked on the Find Madeleine Online Store page and selected the "View Page Info" option. According to that information page, the page was last modified at 8:33:33pm last night.

Actually the time was 8:08:33pm last night.

I wonder why? Have they been advised it is in their best interest to stop....

I cant see why they would be advised to stop selling the lovely wristbands. They must have some stocks and it makes sense to try to get rid of them. Maybe they should have a sale? then when stocks of all the goods run out don't re-order and stop then. When shops close down they normally have a closing down sale and you can get great value.

the official reason is that Kate is so busy and committed to god knows what. Too busy to organise someone to take on the not onerous task of dealing with the few orders that would come in. Couldn't retired Uncle brian help out? or Pam Gurney? or get someone off an unemployment scheme for work experience...!

May 2018 – 11th Anniversary of Madeleine’s Abduction

It gets harder to know what to say or write as each anniversary of Madeleine’s abduction approaches then passes. Life is full and busy which helps but Madeleine is still missing and she is still dearly missed. Information continues to come in (incredible as it may seem after so long, although we are grateful for that) and work goes on. Perseverance and hope remain.

Thank you to everyone who continues to support us and wish us, especially Madeleine, well. After eleven years such warmth and persisting solidarity is truly remarkable, and at the same time a real tonic and boost to our spirit. We couldn’t bear for Madeleine to be forgotten or to become just a ‘story’. She is a real person and still our ‘little girl’ and as we always have, we will endeavour to do whatever it takes to find her. Thank you so much for staying with us on this mission.

When they warned them not to speak to the press, did Scotland Yard also tell the McCanns not to produce an age progressed picture?

Isn't there enough money in the fund to pay for one?

Madeleine would be a teenager not a toddler so if there was a need for a new picture, it would be now.

The McCanns are barely keeping up the pretence that they are looking for their live and findable child.

I agree. I think the cynicism of keeping up this charade of pretending to be still looking for her and pretending she is still alive must surely be weighing heavily on them. How many times can they keep saying the same thing? Is there a single person who genuinely still believes that she is alive? One?

If it's true that the McCanns are kept 'fully updated' with what the police are doing as Clarence Mitchell is always saying, then they have to know the police HAVE been looking for a body. Bernard Hogan Howe said it was a 'murder inquiry' in 2013 ( I think).

Scotland Yard were quoted as saying they were looking for a body in Portugal, so yes, why keep up this charade....unless admitting death as a possibility puts the focus back entirely on the people who last saw the victim. This IMO is why they avoid talking about a death at all costs.

The police when looking for McKeague whilst digging the land fill site weren't looking for a live and findable person, similiary the police in Germany digging up the river bank aren't looking for a live and findable child,or adult now,the digs in PDL,weren't looking for a live and findable Madeleine,but still they can't or won't confirm if she is alive or dead.

Well, not everybody would be aware of a website being down.

I still think there's plenty of interest in the case as can be seen by the comments (largely not supporting the McCanns) on newspaper stories.

True, but if this was a technical issue, mistake or they got hacked then I would have thought a mountain out of a molehill would have been made if for no other reason than to divert attention away from the Tannerman debacle?

Yes, I've been unable to sleep, worrying about what had happened to it - no, not really!

After this many years, I should think anyone who looks after the website would surely have the domain name renewal date diarized so that payment for the renewal could be processed in time to prevent the website temporarily disappearing.
