I'm from Ayrshire and I don't even know what that means!

I'm a quarter scottish and have read Trainspotting so that was my best guess at a translation.

But how is that offensive?

Me neither, but anyway, if it is so bad.........they have printed it again for millions to see

I would translate it as "Is anybody doing anything about it because I have not come home yet."

Not sure how that is a slur, when in fact it happens to be true.  Just sounds like some bimbo MSP trying to make a name for herself.  The Daily Record are in the doghouse at the mo anyway, lot of people boycotting them because they think they were conned over "The Vow".
