Re: Bye bye Boris!
But he might not go....
The logical thing (and surely the correct way procedurely) is for the Deputy PM Dominic Raab to take over in an acting capacity until the new leader is appointed.
Boris clearly has plans to stay as long as he can hold out.
How is Boris going to keep his wife and two children, and pay maintenance to former wives/children on a back benchers salary? Does he own a property in his own right? I don't think so and his last wife Marina Wheeler got the family home. Carrie owns a flat but is it big enough for two children?
How is Boris going to bring in extra money to meet his commitments? Where is the nearest Food Bank to Westminster?

Re: Bye bye Boris!
Let's just think of the positive news that he's going!
He surely doesn't have to pay maintenance for the four children from his previous marriage as they are over 18. Maybe on the daughter from an extra-marital relationship though.
He owns at least one property in London and, according to the link, has a rental income of at least £10,000.00 a year.

Re: Bye bye Boris!
Freedom, we don't know when he is going. We do know he is cunning and a liar. He would have to pay maintenance for children in third level education.
Glad to hear he has a gaff so he won't be homeless. Carrie has her own place but how long will she stay with him now his political career is in the doldrums?
Rental income of only 10k pa for a house in London doesn't sound right to me.

Re: Bye bye Boris!
It doesn't say where the properties are that attract the rental income.
His 4 children were born in 1993, 1995, 1997 and 1999. If you mean at university, it's likely that none of them are still there.

My youngest born in 1990 is still studying (a doctorate). Boris's children from the upper middle class background they come from are very likely to be doing qualifications beyond a basic degree.
Wherever Boris's property(s) are £10k pa total rental income sounds like a big LIE to me.
