Do you wish that you'd never heard of the McCanns?
That's OK, most of us do.

Were you humbled at Gerrys standing ovation he received at the National Police Federation Annual Bravery Awards, attended by Prince Charles and Gordon Brown on the 13th of July 2007, which Gerry described as a "humbling experience". Or were you worried Gerry was becoming more important than yourself ?
What are you covering up....

How is the McCann stuff working out for you now?
Well Clarrie didn't win Brighton, and to be honest, he was never going to, the people of Brighton are far too enlightened.
I have to say I am curious about his career. I wonder if he still works for Freud Communications and if he is still much in demand as a 'crisis consultant'? I haven't checked, but didn't he omit his McCann campaign from his CV? At one time the whole McCann campaign was a model of PR genius and indeed Clarrie was giving lectures about it and receiving accolades, now, not so much.
Unfortunately for Clarence, he was soooo successful with the McCanns, it is pretty much all he will be remembered for and as the tide turns against the McCanns, it has turned against him too. Clarence, like Kate, Gerry and Jim Gamble, loves nothing more than being in front of a camera, but sadly for Clarrie, his role does not allow HIM to be the story, he is a reporter, a messenger, a spokesman, nothing more. He has created an authoritative, unwieldy TV character to force the message across, a character without charm, tact or diplomacy (an arsehole) and he's stuck with it. He, like his equally charmless peers, will never be joining in the fun with Jonathan Ross, Keith Lemon or Ryland, or indeed anything that the public want to watch.
Where does he go from here? I think the speed with which the Labour Party HQ passed him onto the McCanns reveals quite a bit. Was he tempted by the salary offered by Gerry and Kate and his passionate belief in their innocence, or was he pushed? It was certainly a leap of faith. Why give up such a lucrative, high flying career in politics to take up a job that could end at any time? In those early days Madeleine could have been found at any time, or indeed his clients could have been arrested and their assets (and his £70kpa) frozen.
Did he perhaps have dreams of being the hero in every future tragedy? The public face of victims of trauma? He popped up via Freud Communications I believe, to comment on the Concordia disaster, and attempted to latch onto other tragedies, but I imagine he is about as welcome to trauma victims, as the grim reaper.
If the man had even a shred of decency, we could almost feel sorry for him. He had big, big, dreams for his future in crisis management etc, but unfortunately, so to do all the others who flew out to the McCanns' rescue. Everyone's a trauma specialist it seems and they are now competing against each other in the private sector. JG no longer has CEOP and public funding, and like Clarrie his reputation rests on the McCann case. The big, big, dreams shared by each of them in 2007 have not come to fruition, in fact the opposite has happened. When disaster strikes, who ya gonna call? Probably not that lot.

I have a question for Mrs Mitchell.
When you miscarried your baby, and your husband was gallivanting round Europe with the McCann and wouldn't come home,
why didn't you call in the locksmith right there and then?
Because I would have.

Clarence, if it was your daughter that went missing, would you want a "master of spin" paid a huge wage out of public donations to take the onus away from the person/people who may be responsible for the disappearance/demise of your daughter and to help them to evade justice?

Why did you, with all your media expertise permit your clients to use an old photograph of Madeleine showing her as a significantly younger child in the main campaign posters?

I so wish Clarence could man up and actually attempt to try and answer all these questions.
I for one would love to watch him squirm and fluster in the process.
