This sounds as if it could be a major disaster.
Oh my god, at least 10 people killed. I'm just watching it on BBC news, how shocking.

Some shocking pictures on Twitter. Thew plane has gone straight across six lanes of A27 traffic right at the traffic light junction

7 people confirmed dead now on BBC news. Oh gosh, what a tragedy, unbelievable really. People just sitting at traffic lights going about their own every day business, shopping, visiting relatives or whatever, then just wiped out in seconds, just for the sake of an air show display.

Horrific accident. All those poor families affected, what a dreadful tragedy. Air shows seem to be so accident prone recently, but
such as this is difficult to comprehend.
No doubt many more injured. My thoughts with all those affected.
Anyone remember when a plane came down on the road outside Heathrow one time? Also the most terrible thing.

That wasn't the one about which there was a programme recently? In 1972 a plane crashed near Staines but that was in a field.

Don't think so Freedom. I know someone who was in the Force at the time and had to attend - my memory is so unreliable now - was it Gatwick??

This is the only one I can think of that crashed on a road.

Yes, that was a terrible crash and had the further misfortune of being reported from the M1 by none other than Clarence Mitchell

It's a dangerous game, those airshows and you'll never see me near there. I learned a couple of decades ago [I'll spare you the details], that pilots can loose conscience for a split second during a looping ... and that may be enough to loose control :-(
It should be forbidden IMO, just like all other Spectacles, which are dangerous. Some time ago there was a so-called "Monster-truck" loosing control at a "demonstration" in NL and killed a good number of people, when driving into the spectator crowd at a peaceful village square.

It is a question of adrenaline I think. Some have more than others, and really enjoy the excitement and surge of this hormone, even when the experience is secondhand, as it were.
Myself, even a Carousel at a fairground is beyond me.

What it must be like for people waiting for news of loved ones who haven't been heard of since yesterday I cannot imagine.

The A27 is a road we travel a lot. My Son lives in Hove while he attends uni in Brighton , he has quite a few friends who went to the air show, they are all accounted for but it is a worry. I'm a bit further up the coast . My Son in Laws family have gone to the Bournemouth air show today which has still gone ahead. Awful times.

Re: Plane crashes onto cars in Sussex
It mentions on the DM website that the limousine that was hit by the plane was on its way to pick up a newly married couple from their wedding venue, it's shocking enough that the driver of the limousine was killed but to think that the newly married couple could also have been in the car doesn't bear thinking about. What a terrible way to end such a lovely day for them, which should have been one of the happiest of their lives.
