The former Celtic kitman Jim McCafferty trial next year will be interesting .
He was a suspect in the murder of Celtic youth Lawrence Haggart by paedophile Brian Beattie.
McCafferty had phoned the boy at his home on the day of his death and would have known the boy was home alone all evening.

John Reid was Chairman of Celtic for 4 years from  November 2007 until October 2011.
Reid was Home Secretary and therefore head of MI5 on the night Maddie went missing on Thursday 3rd of May 2007.

On  Friday 4th of May 2007 Reid appeared on the World at One radio show with Martha Kearney and confirmed he would be standing as a candidate against Gordon Brown in the forth coming Labour part leadership contest,the winner becoming the Prime Minister.
Two days later on Sunday 6th of May 2007 Reid appeared on The Sunday Politics Show and announced he was no longer standing as a candidate in the leadership battle.

Since then Reid has disappeared from public life other than his spell as Chairman Of Celtic F.C.

Died in a single vehicle crash sounds very like a car driven into a solid object, so is it suicide?

It does seem a little coincidental but we must try not to be paranoid!

I think some of the 'key' to the mystery lies around this and other historic case of sexual abuse. But this is quite a biggie I would have thought and must merit more investigation. A very sordid tale indeed and what a coincidence that Gerry McCann just happened to be involved with the club. There are so many coincidences in this case.

Gerry McCann, born in Glasgow 1968, was Celtic FC club physio during the 1990’s that left Celtic 6 months before Torbett was sacked for the second time.
Madeline McCann disappeared in May 2007. John Reid who was Home Secretary at the time for the British Government, would have been directly involved with the disappearance of Madeline and is very possible that he covered it up. John Reid then left his post of Home Secretary in June 2007 and became Chairman of Celtic FC.
