I'm not sure if the words "real grief" were used - that would suggest that the body language expert believed that the McCann case was genuine.

What were people's thoughts on this one while Shannon was missing? Did you think that there was family involvement?

I can't remember much of what I thought - work was chaotic at the time - but I do recall that, when the news broke that she'd been found, I told colleagues that she'd been with a man in his 30s which didn't sound good but at least she was alive.

There were one or two things I hadn't seen or didn't know - particularly the two family liaison officers telling of their suspicions of Karen's behaviour and how Michael Donovan stitched Karen up immediately he was apprehended.
