Out of the frying pan into the fire perhaps? Be interesting to see what the pre-nup arrangement is IF a wedding does actually go ahead. I wonder if RM's family are welcoming JH into the fold?! Equally, I wonder what JH's family make of this 'whirl-wind romance'?
I find it mind-boggling and the FACT that RM is prepared to go so public makes me incredibly suspicious about the motives behind all this.
---
My God I found myself feeling curious about the suicide of Mick Jagger's girlfriend. Apparently she left everything to Jagger and nothing to her family. Admittedly it appears she was only close to her adoptive brother but why would she chose to leave him out of her will entirely? Seems odd.
It's not exactly as though Jagger needed the money....
But I must resist getting myself embroiled in speculation. All I will say is that he was notorious in the school circle for being a skinflint.
ETA: I couldn't resist a little googling. It might very well be that JH is, indeed, going out of the frying pan into the fire....Hmmm.....why are some of the richest people on the planet so darn GREEDY??

I don't know how I missed hearing of L'Wren Scott when she was alive. I'd never heard anything about her being Mick Jagger's girlfriend.
It sounds from this article that Jerry and Mick are on friendly terms now as they spent Christmas 2014 together.

I may have my wires crossed here but I thought L'Wren Scott was heavily in debt so how could she leave everything to Mick Jagger.

Her company was in trouble, and was probably limited, capping her exposure.

So does that mean she still could leave money to Mick Jagger. I'm not 'au fait' with all this Bampots.

Re: There's life in the old dog yet
It depends on lots .....I assume it was a company trading with her name and her designs. The company would therefore depend on her profile(fame) although I would assume she would have had lots of very rich contacts who were initially willing to part with their cash. Add to this heady mix the opportunity to meet Mick And I suppose the sky's the limit.
Remember although she was the biggest asset the company had (LS fashion ltd.) ie, L'Wren Scott it's not much to build million pound+ turnovers on. I read that she would not ask Mick for help and all kudos to her for that ....but her exposure was limited, she was a director of a company with her initials in is name. (Just as we think of Madeleine's fund as cash to help find her,a kind of charridy, we know it's just a company which claims to have a mission ) Her personal wealth would have been separate to the company. Here's a link to the Mail as I cannot be bothered to spend a lifetime cutting all the adverts!

From the Mail article....'Friends envied L’Wren Scott for her flashy lifestyle, but so much of her increasingly spectacular life was on loan from Mick Jagger,' reads the piece. A friend of Scott's quoted in the story says the Rolling Stones frontman mostly showed his generosity with jewelry. 'He bought her the jewelry she picked out, and she did have some really nice pieces, but sometimes she would say that’s the only thing Mick gets her,' said the friend. Thanks so much for your time on this Bampots. I would have thought that if you were a Ltd Company you would just walk away from your debts. I'n my opinion you really wouldn't take your life. What I can't understand is if Mr.Jagger was such a skinflint why would he buy her expensive jewelry. Unless she owed him money. Very strange.

Re: There's life in the old dog yet
I think it's weird. Why would she not leave a note?
Even if Jagger is a total skinflint it's hardly a huge sacrifice to buy his girlfriend some jewellery every now and then. Wow! Big deal.
Ha - I can well believe this below:
"but sometimes she would say that’s the only thing Mick gets her,' said the friend."
According to the article: 'Jagger had Scott meet friends and business associates - anybody who might share the burden. He was not a man who liked to lose money.'
Jagger gives me the total creeps in every way but that's just me. He was probably okay when he was about 20. A bit like Elvis - he was incredible when young. But neither aged gracefully or attractively.
But unfortunately I do think Jagger, at any rate, is a good example of the expression: 'power corrupts'. Elvis, maybe a bit like Michael Jackson, was probably just surrounded by vampires and in the end lost the plot.
I saw Jagger at the 02 a few years back and it was one of the most underwhelming concerts I had ever been to. A bunch of old geezers strutting around in a hideously impersonal venue probably mostly miming as their voices have all gone. Just ghastly, imo!
Nothing against older musicians at all who can be amazing but it was just that they hadn't really moved their acts forward so it was just quite cringeworthy.....
Honestly, it was pathetic. But still, perhaps I am just jealous that they can still earn so much money $$$$$$$$$$$
IMO!

Wow....frankly nothing would surprise me any more. I think her death looks suspicious but what do I know? Apart from the fact that Jagger gives me the creeps...

Jiggling geriatrics...!
Ha, I too saw the lame Strolling Bones - in 2006 at the Cake Tin in Wellington...
...they had the abominable band Nickelback as their warm-up act -
and then the Stones themselves gave me that bad a vibe that I fled...!
...made my excuses and ran off out of there two songs in...
- rang a mate to rescue me and went on a scenic up Mt Vic instead - phew.
I was really surprised at how strongly I'd taken against them -
- and I also find Mick Jagger creepy as all creepy.

I wonder......I reckon if the old skinflint did bankroll her it would have been because he thought she might make a mint or two.
While the photographs of the pair in the early years of their relationship look as though they are both happy, I would say at least one photograph of the pair taken in the last year or so show Jagger looking as though he wants to run a mile from her...
Perhaps her business hadn't succeeded in the way that Jagger had banked on (quite literally) and it is perfectly possible that - for Jagger at any rate - the rose-tinted glasses had long lost their luster. I would also imagine that his children would not especially want to welcome him into the bosom of the family - particularly if she was to have become his wife...perhaps he would have ensured another Hindu wedding to avoid digging into those pockets...

I wonder if they were just being' cool' but I agree they do not exactly look ecstatic - not even her which is quite unusual. Usually the bride looks thrilled - not infrequently the groom less so...I always think it is a very good indicator if the groom is looking ecstatic as he commits himself to: 'as long as we both shall live'........

Don't please - that has put me off my dinner!
It had been announced a while ago that the wedding would be in early March.

Waiting a couple of years might not have been prudent...

That`s not Mandy in the photo with Bill Wyman - it`s someone called Suzanne.
I love Bob Geldof`s brown velvet coat. Wouldn`t mind one like that for myself.
