Madeleine McCann Books

I can't remember the detail but in the early days Paulo Reis was quite vocal on the web and had some snippets that gave the impression he had close links with the PJ. A few years after that people were discrediting him. Could be an interesting read though if there is an English version.

Interestingly this blog has been dormant for three years and of course Joanna Morias has reopened blog to public view again.....so the question is has anyone noticed any more blogs reappearing??

I'm not a member of the group so I'm not much the wiser.

I wouldn't have thought that there was any problem with copying brief extracts as we do here. I wonder if anyone has downloaded the whole book for members to read; that would infringe the copyright.

I remember that happening somewhere else on Facebook and TM soon pounced.

This what has been posted on the official says... I would like to remind those who are sharing Kate's book online, you are violating copyright law. Kate's publisher has notified Facebook and other social media networks of the links and people engaging in this illegal activity. You risk having your Facebook account terminated and could face prosecution brought by the publisher. Downloading and sharing copyrighted material is ILLEGAL.

If you see Kate's book posted online out of the normal ways to purchase an e-book, please let us know at campaign@findmadeleine.com. We will notify Kate's publisher and they will have the links removed and/or determine if the person posting should be prosecuted.

Edited to add: For those posting that we are trying to make money, you are absolutely wrong! By posting the book online, you are stealing from the publisher. Kate was given an advance for her book, which was put into the fund. This isn't about US making money. It's about participating in an illegal activity and stealing from the publisher--which is punishable under the law. If you don't want to purchase the book, that's fine. Just don't steal it!

I think IIRC CMoMM had it as well and it had to be removed. (Don't quote me though, memory crap)

You would be asked to remove it if TM found out about it. Whatever one thinks about Kate's book (and I wouldn't want the trash in my home) it is a copyright infringement to download it all and, presumably, any other book.

What a load of rubbish. What this means is that they've realised that the bewk is highly incriminating and likely to be used in court. Gold.

No idea to be fair. But seriously tempted to find out though.

I bought that book of crock many years ago. When it first came out. After I read it, I ditched it at a charity shop. I was ditching some other stuff at the same charity shop near where I live on Sat afternoon and saw the book (very much doubt it was the same one as several years had passed), but anyway I purchased it for 50p.

392 pages in total as just checked.

So if anyone needs info from it then give us a shout.

Reckon I could type all that up in a week or 3 (work commitments aside).

TBH this seems to me like a cheap way of making it look like they still have some legal teeth.

No, it's not about the McCanns not making money no no no no.

Kate & Gerry are selflessly worried about others who might inadvertently participate in an illegal activity.

What role models they are.

Let's hope Duarte has them - they might get together with GA's books and spawn some kind of definitive, universally accepted offspring.

I paid £1 for my copy, but I have passed it to a colleague who will hand it on to another charity shop so it's all about the circle of life
