It is quite sickening (imo)  for Kate M to make any comment publicly about this present search for Ben.

It shows a complete lack of empathy (imo)  just a need for attention.

Quotes from   "A friend" eh?   -    actually surprised TM have any of those now.

They forget quickly!

Its possible that the paper contacted the McCanns or a known supporter looking for a quote on the Ben Needham dig.

If the McCanns had said they did not wish to comment, they risked a headline such as 'McCanns indifferent to Ben's mum's anguish at new dig.' I can understand why they would comment if contacted.

Or as we all know, newspapers make up things and when I see in articles (about this and other cases) an unnamed close friend said, I take that to mean the 'journalist' made up the quote as he/she had a tight deadline.

The journalist is Tracey K. Rumoured to be a very close friend and gym buddy of K McCann...

And also rumoured to be at one time/present resident of Rothley

For once, that isn't a rumour!
