Who killed Billie-Jo Jenkins?

.... You see I think the Uncle was guilty. Sometimes there just isn't a lot of evidence to go on.. And just because there isn't video footage or a signed confession doesn't mean that they're innocent.
Mods - I don't think this topic should be in latest news.... It's interesting to discuss these different cases though so perhaps they could be moved somewhere else....
I think I'm muddling this one up with another high profile case where the step-father was convicted and where I watched an interview during which he spoke about the last time he saw her and spoke to her and in which his body language and words used seemed congruent with a man who had nothing to hide.

Re: Who killed Billie-Jo Jenkins?
If you mean Sion Jenkins, he was Billie Jo's foster father.
I do think that he shouldn't have been convicted; he is now free.
I am aware of his history of domestic violence and lying about his educational qualifications but that doesn't make him a killer.

I could never make up my mind about this one...

Re: Who killed Billie-Jo Jenkins?
I remember at the time that the police said that whoever had done this awful thing must have been covered in blood.
Yet Sion Jenkins had come straight from the rear of the house where Billie Jo was attacked to take his daughters on a shopping trip with no visible signs of blood and acting perfectly normally.
Some microscopic traces were later found on him but that was after he returned to the house and tried to help her.
It may be a total red herring or not reported correctly but I thought that the issue of the mentally ill man who was in the area needed to be investigated more thoroughly. He was claimed to have a fascination for putting pieces of black rubbish bags up his nose and there were some on Billie Jo too.

Snipped from this:
http://www.walesonline.co.uk/news/local-news/sion-jenkins-saw-who-killed-2155743
Chillingly, Mr Jenkins now claims Billie-Jo’s murderer was still in the family home when he returned and that the man spoke to the distraught father calmly and concisely before vanishing.
Mr Jenkins says this man hid in the family’s dining room before he could emerge into the hallway, present himself to Mr Jenkins then walk out.
“I have stood face to face with him. I have spoken with him. I know what he looks like and I remember his mannerisms,” he says.
“He wore a dark navy or possibly dark olive overcoat and was smartly dressed. I could see he was wearing a tie. He had highly polished shoes. It was this fact that reassured me he was a police officer.
“This man was standing in the hall. I turned around and looked at him. He said, ‘She’s going to be okay.’
“He then left me staring at the door to the dining room.
“I honestly believe this man is responsible for my daughter’s murder. I believe he killed her in cold blood for reasons that I can only speculate and surmise.”

The Jenkins mystery
Sounds absolutely bonkers - smartly dressed (with presumably not a drop of blood on him) after committing a dreadful murder.
I should think that Sion Jenkins was hallucinating.

Re: Who killed Billie-Jo Jenkins?
I thought we had a thread on this one but couldn't find anything:

Mother of murdered schoolgirl Billie-Jo Jenkins calls for police to reopen the case on the 20th anniversary of the 13-year-old's death
Deborah Barnett has called for police to reopen her daughter's murder case
Billie-Jo Jenkins was bludgeoned to death on February 15 in 1997
Foster father Sion Jenkins initially convicted but later released after appeal

Billie-Jo Jenkins
I'll have a rummage later (my computer is having the screaming habdabs at the moment) and put the Jenkins case posts on its own topic.
P.S. I've managed the separate topic - earlier posts to follow.
P.P.S. I've found some and they're now here.

Re: Who killed Billie-Jo Jenkins?
I've no idea whether Sion Jenkins is guilty or not but I wouldn't be happy to be convicted on the basis of the evidence presented.

I can't remember what that the exact evidence was off the top of my head... Was it something to do with minuscule blood spots on his clothing or something?

Re: Who killed Billie-Jo Jenkins?
An interesting read, chrissie.
I'm really not sure on this one at all. Very much on the fence in regards to whether he's guilty/innocent. Will have to look into it more although I doubt that will happen any time soon.
Good luck to your mighty Arsenal tonight. They'll need a lot of luck.
3-1 to Bayern Munich.
