How come people keep joining up over there, getting banned, then joining here? Why don't they just join this forum in the first place?

Because when you google a Madeleine McCann forum this one does not come up very high on the search, I actually assumed that there was only one left.

Only after getting banned did I think to filter the other one out on google to find this one.

If you search Madeleine McCann forum (I have just done it) we are actually third on the list cheers

after CMoMM and websleuths. That is using Bing search.

Google does not bring us up till quite a way down the list.

What's_up_doc: if you can remember a topic that you posted on, you can check whether your name still appears on your message. If it does, your account hasn't been deleted.

That is really strange, it is still not on my first page of google results.

I can only assume that google is remembering earlier searches, as my initial search was for the 3As forum, which came up first, but appears to be inactive.

I use Google Chrome and when you enter 'Madeleine McCann forum' then this site doesn't come up at all... (well I went to page 15).

If you google 'Madeleine McCann mystery forum' then this site comes up at the top.

Just wanted to introduce myself to everyone , after lurking in the background for a few days.
I found this site after reading some of Cristobell's blogs and followed the link , what a shame i didn't spot you before i made the stupid error of going on the other one Sad

I was only on there a few days 12th - 15th, replied to a post from someone new ( relevant as to why i was there really looking for a youtuber whose account had been closed ) next thing i know i was banned , Very Happy

Hope i have put this in the right place , apologies if it isn't

Did you get a reason for being banned? Sometimes it comes up when you try to log in but at others you're just told that your log-in details aren't valid.

No reason for being banned , just a large BANNED , and words to the effect of forever!

We were talking about Smithman and the Aerobics/Quiz woman ( can't remember her name at the moment ) must have hit a nerve with someone.

My memory may be letting me down due to the heat but there have been very few people who have actually been banned here; quite a few have deleted their own accounts (sometimes after a mega embarrassing flounce and tantrum) but that was their choice.
