I think this is the same lake, only trouble there is, police were alerted by calls from tapas9
Not sure, it's late, check it though.
IMO
Portuguese newspaper Diario De Noticias claimed the search areas were related to mobile phone calls made by Madeleine's parents and their friends.
Oh dear!

I wonder if this is the reason why the gardener was reinterviewed? In the clip from the Mirror, he speaks about this note that he'd found.

Has anyone heard about this 'note' ever before?
Any mention of it by anyone ever until recently?
Very surprised that the Mirror would be recording an interview with the 'gardener' if he has been speaking with SY/PJ as a witness...
Doesn't make sense IMO.

I haven't heard of it before now. Maybe police are done with him, can he be interviewed if he's not needed anymore? It's strange that in October 07 police were lead to this stretch of water by mobile calls from the Mcs and friends though. Interesting stuff if Ive got it right.

Yep - there is a link upthread somewhere from the PJ files about phone records.
Not seen that old sky news link that you posted earlier before either so yeah, very interesting.
Even if the Police have 'done with him', then if whatever he said was of importance and significance then he wouldn't be allowed to blab to the media. Surely?
So if he is blabbing then that tells me the note itself is a load of guff.
Or maybe it's a double bluff if you get what I mean from the SY/PY.
Possibly invented 'Crecheman'. Possibly invented 'tip off note'
All to crank up the pressure in certain quarters......

Even if we forget about the note, in October 07 the police were alerted to this place via mobile calls of the Mcs and friends, still interesting imo.
Eta: the (possibly) map on the table, would've been interesting to know what it showed.

I find this as nonsensical as so many other witnesses who have crawled out of the wodwork for their moment of fame. It just beggars belief, but apparently some people do buy it or the newspapers wouldn´t come up with it. JMO.

murkier and murkier
This is interesting.
This story is mentioned in the thoroughly misleading account by Anthony Summers and Robbyn Swann, "Looking for Madeleine". Only they tell an entirely different tale: one of the private investigation companies called in by the McCanns at the instigation of Brian Kennedy, Metodo3, came up with the story.
At first, M3 claimed that a lawyer called Correia and contacts in the criminal underworld in Spain had told them Madeleine had been killed by her abductors and the body dumped in this reservoir. they claimed the Portuguese police were disinterested in following the lead through.
A little later, after the first dives, M3 amended the story to add in the inevitable psychic who had visualised the dumping of the corpse. But it was on the level as criminal contacts had confirmed it, we're not telling fibs here, oh no...
S&S inform us that the divers found children's clothing and a sack of miscellaneous bones - which turned out to be not human in origin but of drowned cats and kittens.
so... who's right here? Same location, two different stories. Who might be deliberately muddying the waters with two variant tales, and why? Especially since Metodo3, as I recall, turned out to be a bit dodgy; a bad investment for all those generous donations pouring into the McCann fund. The best part of a million went to this PI firm in return for not very much.

Metado3 was a perfect fit for the Mc's and their team.
Money poured in to assist in searching. The Mc's had to be seen to spend said money (in searching). So employed a dodgy outfit (set up especially) to do this.
Experts in money laundering as well which was what it was mainly all about anyway.
Imo etc.

Lots of info here on Metodo 3, talk of spying etc. but only one item on money laundering from Duarte Levy, that I can see, they have been accused but was there a conviction?

follow the money
If there is any aspect of the behaviour of the McCanns that needs scrutiny, you could start by asking where the money went. Generous and well-disposed people donated millions to a fund which had no charitable status and therefore no legal obligation to post publicly accessible accounts. Where has it all gone? Who to? Who made the decisions? Who was connected to who? Even Summers and Swann admit the McCanns were scammed for big money by one bogus firm of PI's. (And by the way, they don't mention Brian Kennedy is Kate's uncle at any point - he's just a benevolent millionaire to them who suddenly took an interest. Thank you for pointing this connection out!)
Who benefits? There's a clear issue here about stewardship of the cash and administrative decisions taken about its use.

Kate's uncle Brian Kennedy is not the same as Millionaire Brian Kennedy, they are two different people.AgProv wrote:If there is any aspect of the behaviour of the McCanns that needs scrutiny, you could start by asking where the money went. Wrong Kennedy - there are two of them, one of which is Kate's uncle. A retired teacher, I think.

Yes, yet another one of those coincidences same name. Same as the lady who owned the apartment was named McCann. Same as there was another Wright who drove the hire car IIRC those just off the top of my head, there are many, many more.

Sorry not read the links upthread, as yet.
But spying... Yes experts in that as well. Makes sense.
Spy on everyone connected with the case. That's something the Mc's would pay for...
Bit like a 'researcher' as well.... Which would help the McCause.
Imo.
