Re: Claudia Lawrence
It's possible that she did but there are no sightings to prove it.

Phew..it's not just me then! But yes, I definitely remember the main focus seemed to be on "the morning she allegedly disappeared" There didn't seem to be any concern about the evening of the last time she was seen, maybe it was just assumed that as she had phoned her mother (?) that evening it couldn't have happened then, which of course is ridiculous when you think about it, obviously before and during the phone call she was alive and well, but anything could have happened after, though that indicated that she had made it home safely that day.
It does seem a bit strange though that all the focus was previously put on the day after she was last seen rather than from the moment she last spoke to family by phone. Hopefully the police will resolve this soon though, I think they're just about there imo

I thought that - about the night before .
But didn`t I hear the father talking about her leaving for work at 5.15 a - it seems to be the father that is insisting she went off to work ok. I`ll check it out.

Was it a reconstruction on crimewatch?

Father saying it`s the morning here
"Miss Lawrence's father Peter said: "Advances in forensic science and testing in the past four years make this a very worthwhile exercise, and anything which helps the search to find Claudia, or at least find out what happened to her on that morning in March 2009, is welcomed."
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-york-north-yorkshire-24713739
P.S. On the video of the father (at 2.50min) he says `she certainly left the house - she left behind her handbag etc ...`
He also says her mother spoke to her - said she was watching Location, Location, Location which is on about 9pm I think - but don`t know what time it was on the year she went missing.

Re: Claudia Lawrence
Apparently she was seen on CCTV footage coming home from work. They don't know if she set off for work the next morning which would be at about 5:15am and was not seen on CCTV. Her work bag with her chef whites is missing? - but her purse and phone were at her home?

Apparently, father said when he went into Claudia`s house on the morning of the 20th, her bed had been made. Who makes their bed at 4.45am before going to work ?

I'm sure I did.
I think it was the last day she was seen, not the morning after
No official sightings after tea time and no contact after her call to her Mum I think
Just checked it she was last seen on the 18 March at about 3pm, had the later calls then nothing after about 9pm
Most people have always thought it would turn out to be the night of the 18 March when she went missing. It's quite safe to walk around York and something happening to her on her way to work is practically zero chance although not impossible

Well spotted Mimi, yes I think it has been the father's insistence that she left for work, that has been fixed in my mind, and led me to assume she had disappeared whilst away from her home, though now looking like she possibly never left her home that night alive

Re: Claudia Lawrence
Just realised the Father set up a website ages ago.
www.findclaudia.co.uk
Not suggesting it's suspicious. Just never seen it before.

Re: Claudia Lawrence
There's nothing unusual these days in setting up a website hoping for information as to the whereabouts of a missing person.
Setting up an online shop within days selling old tat is another matter!

I would love to know exactly how much tat has actually been sold over the years.

Det Supt Dai Malyn said the force "strongly advises the media and members of the public against identifying the man who has been arrested".

The Star's headline is misleading , whoever it is that has been arrested lives in a cul de sac within 1/2 a mile of Claudia's house (Claudia's house is on a through road)

Re: Claudia Lawrence
That cctv footage shown recently, the man was carrying a bag over his shoulder, maybe that was her chefs whites in there?
Also makes you wonder why that footage wasn't released 6yrs ago?

Can't find anything myself about the half mile radius?
This is from the Police themselves..

Re: Claudia Lawrence
Yeah sorry. Just said on the news that the police have been searching a house 'round the corner'.
Presumably the house of the man arrested although didn't catch them actually saying that.
