Interesting bit:

Neighbours said it was the second time the man had been questioned in connection to Miss Lawrence’s disappearance after forensic officers searched his house around a year ago.

Claudia Lawrence case: Charges against four men considered


Prosecutors are to consider whether to bring charges against four men arrested on suspicion of the murder of missing chef Claudia Lawrence.

She disappeared after leaving her house on Heworth Road, York, on her way to work in March 2009.

The men, all aged in their 50s and from the York area, were arrested in March and April.

Police said the men had been released from bail whilst the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) considers the case.

Officers said a file of evidence was being prepared for the CPS but it would "take some time", as would any assessment of the file.

Ms Lawrence was 35 when she disappeared. Her body has never been found.

Det Supt Dai Malyn asked that members of the public and the media do not identify the men.

A review of the case was undertaken in October 2013 but to date no-one has been charged in connection with Ms Lawrence's disappearance.

I've just started to watch a programme made by Donal Macintyre about this case. I shall give him a fair chance but I'm not expecting a lot!

Primo, I think that Donal looks ill.
Secundo, I think police should talk to someone very close to her ...

The police have certainly been talking to male friends but clearly there's no evidence at present to charge anyone.

I admit though that I have had the exact same thought from early on in this case but there never seemed to be any hint it could be possible. But the complete secrecy of who the police have been talking to has always made me wonder........

As far as I know though, the ages of any of the men who have been questioned have never tallied with that of the person we are thinking of.

I've thought along the lines of them being brought in "help" if you understand what I'm saying.
