You could have something there Andrew. From hearing the bad news on Tuesday, and now that the dust has settled, I would say the McCanns are not in a good place at all.

I honestly don't know what to think Andrew, but that tweet from Sonia Poulton that the media's attitude toward the M's has changed in the last six months is odd to me.

TM have done nothing in the last six months that they haven't done in the last eight years, have they?

No but Sonia Poulton started her documentary six months ago. Hopefully the tides are turning, and I feel by the way Sonia is talking she must know something.

No but Sonia Poulton started her documentary six months ago. Hopefully the tides are turning, and I feel by the way Sonia is talking she must know something.

The tweet I saw didn't refer to the media, she seemed to be talking about people in general, that their attitude has changed and the flood gates are about to open.

May be it's because the media have started allowing comments on their pages instead of the usual "comments have been disabled" and some people who were sitting on the fence regarding the McCanns are now having their eyes opened that there is more to the "disappearance" of Madeleine that hasn't been allowed to be discussed before.

From speaking to various people from all walks of life over the last couple of days, then the general perception is they are absolutely sick of the pair now. Greed and probably guilty. 

That is all down to the media.

I think she meant to say 180. I'd love to know who the media colleagues are and what it is that has changed their minds in a six month period about TM.

It does say on the donation page -

This person will receive your donation directly.
All payments are final and cannot be refunded.
Only give to people you know and trust.

As you said, there is no padlock shown which is usually on secure websites.  The actual website owners are in California, USA.

Unless someone can get verification from GA that the person operating the website is personally known by someone on one of the forums or Facebook I feel reluctant to use a credit/debit card on it.

I'd rather open a PayPal account just for making a one off payment on the official website.

I'm pretty certain if you take the NIB and IBAN numbers into your own bank, they should be able to arrange a transfer over the counter.

If you google Trial verdict in McCann v Amaral or vice versa nothing new comes up?

Thanks for that.  I'm a Barclays customer so will look at doing it that way.

Be careful if sending a foreign transfer via a UK bank. There is usually a charge, typically around £25, regardless of the amount that is being sent. All those £25s would be far better off in Goncalo's pocket.
