Thanks for that.  I'm a Barclays customer so will look at doing it that way.

Be careful if sending a foreign transfer via a UK bank. There is usually a charge, typically around £25, regardless of the amount that is being sent. All those £25s would be far better off in Goncalo's pocket.

I'd forgotten about that, perhaps not a good idea after all, back to opening a PayPal account I think on the official site.

I've not donated to this new one as don't know who this Leanne person is. Sceptical a bit I guess. If people think and agree all is ok then will do. Which appears it's legit

They have even stooped so low as to impersonate Dr Amaral on the GoFundMe page. He has been informed.

In that case he is an eejit, because he will have left a digital trail on the GoFundMe page.  Impersonating another person for the purposes of fraud is a criminal offence.  Also he hasn't even had the sense to a) use the right FB photo b) use the right name and c) write in Portuguese.  Dr Amaral does not speak English!

Dr A could have got someone to do the post for him.

Someone has photoshopped it in as if to appear on the GoFundMe website - it`s not actually there if you look at the list of donors.

AFAIK that account has been thoroughly checked, the initiators are genuine and the money goes straight to the PJGA fund.

I don't want to be the only dissenting voice (which I seem to be at the moment) on this forum but I can't see any link to this new forum from the PJGA site, I've looked but I can't see it.

I'm only being cautious as knowing how the McCanns and their shills play dirty I would hate for GA to have been set up in some way.

Nobody can say who this person is for sure who has set up this alternate website, I really wish someone would come forward and say 100% who that person is. It's not much point saying AFAIK it's 100% legit, sorry but that is not good enough in my mind.
