Re: The Michael Barrymore / Stuart Lubbock case
If they wind everything up and tie all loose ends .....how will they take care of TB... could Micheal Barrymore sue him and ruin him??

Spending so much time exposing criminals is bound to have consequences. Tony doesn`t do any of it incognito either.

Re: The Michael Barrymore / Stuart Lubbock case
I wonder if Michael Barrymore is even aware of a book which had little publicity and wasn't unavailable in usual outlets.
He's more likely I think to concentrate on articles written in newspapers. Here's just one at random.

P.S. I've noticed there is a brief mention of Tony at the end of the article.

The father of the man found dead in Michael Barrymore’s swimming pool has pleaded with the entertainer to help him get justice before he dies.
Terry Lubbock, who has suffered four strokes, tonight called on the former Strike It Lucky host to fund a fresh appeal into son Stuart’s death.

Re: The Michael Barrymore / Stuart Lubbock case
I'm sure I read some time ago that, on the grounds of his poor health, Terry Lubbock had abandoned his quest to find out who was responsible for his son's death.
You can't blame him for changing his mind with the news that Michael Barrymore has been cleared and might even be in line for compensation.
An old story here from 2009 with an interesting mention of a certain Mr B!

Re: The Michael Barrymore / Stuart Lubbock case
Just read that article and didn't know about TB being a researcher for Robert Kilroy-Silk.
Googled the 2 names and just read this. An interesting read.

Asked about his future plans, Mr Bennett said he would be meeting with other disaffected Veritas members to discuss a way forward.

I was shocked by what he said recently about Terry Lubbock! Okay, for all we know, he (TL) might not be a nice man but I would expect a bit of understanding and forgiveness from someone claiming to be a Christian.

Re: The Michael Barrymore / Stuart Lubbock case
He took a leaf out of PeterMac's book and e-mailed this to Jill!

I just want to add a bit more to this thread after I looked on Amazon for Tony's book and found an horrendous list of prices ranging from an eye-watering £36.49 to a staggering £230.99 !! Shocked
Tony had this to say:
As explained to you by e-mail, it is not me trying to sell my book on Amazon, it will be someone called Harry Cichy.
For anyone not aware, I wrote the entire book, wrote up Terry Lubbock's story (first 4 chapters of my book), typed it all up myself, did all the negotiations, got all the photos together, l liaised with the printers all the way through - did everything in fact - even wrote Harry Cichy's foreword for him.
At the time the book was published, the book was the product of The Lubbock Trust, basically Terry Lubbock, a self-styled 'publicist', Harry Cichy, and myself. It was not a charity, by the way, and we never appealed for funds.
When two leading newspapers (News of the World and Daily Mail) serialised my book, the money was shared equally as agreed.
A few weeks before publication, I said we needed to get an International Standard Book Number (ISBN) for it. Harry Cichy then piped up: "I've already got some ISBN numbers, you can use one of mine".
It sounded like a reasonable and honest offer - but it was part of a sting.
We had agreed to price up the book at £9.99. We had plans for its sale and distribution.
When my book was ready to be delivered, however, Cichy and Terry Lubbock told me: "Harry is the sole publisher, you have no rights in the book". They wanted the Lubbock Trust wound up, which it was.
I was truly stunned, knocked out by this.
So the sale of my book on Amazon has nothing whatsoever to do with me. I suspect Lubbock and Cichy (mainly Cichy) have made a lot of money out of it.
Neither Lubbock nor Cichy had any income apart from welfare benefits, so it was not worth the effort to sue them.
I did manage to get 300 books out of them to sell and the majority of those have gone by now.
They were two seriously ungrateful, greedy people.
I ask myself if it was all worthwhile when I read headlines like: 'BARRYMORE CLEARED OVER POOL DEATH" - having proved beyond doubt in my book, I think, that Stuart had never been in that outside pool on that cold, March night.
But I think I got much, much closer to the truth than anyone else has ever done. UNQUOTE

From what you've posted it would seem that TB researched and investigated Terry Lubbock's son's murder then wrote a book about it, agreed a price for the book at £9.99, arranged the distribution and promotion, then Terry Lubbock and Cichy pinched his work and advertised it on Amazon for a lot more.
Why would you be shocked by what TB said about Terry Lubbock after what they did to him ? All he said was they were two seriously ungrateful and greedy people, which was true.
Why should TB exercise a bit of understanding and forgiveness ? Christian or not, I would be fuming too !

Re: The Michael Barrymore / Stuart Lubbock case
If this was an isolated incident I would agree with you; there are always two sides to a story.
However, when there is a history of fallings out here, there and everywhere you have to wonder about the person who is the common denominator in each case.
Some of us here have had unpleasant personal experience of what happens when people don't agree with Tony.

Re: The Michael Barrymore / Stuart Lubbock case
"Some of us here" ? You mean the "unpleasant personal experience" is because you've been banned from his forum?
Hardly the same as having your work pinched after you've researched the death of someone's son for a couple of years and taken the trouble to write a book to raise awareness of how that boy was brutally murdered, to get justice for that boy and his family.
You don't see that as being "seriously ungrateful and greedy"?
Seems to me that "some of us here" will never see the good that TB does for other people and anything he does do will be denigrated simply because you were banned from his forum.

Re: The Michael Barrymore / Stuart Lubbock case
I'm not Tony either.
I'm just someone who is a member of both fora, who posts here. I've made 1 post over there as purple ronnie. I've been reading both fora and have got the general gist of the animosity from here towards the other forum and from what I can sense it's because most have been banned from there.
There is a lot of bad feelings towards TB.
I've been reading his Barrymore threads and I've also been reading his Balkwell threads and he's been working with Lee's father for 14 years trying to find out how his son was also brutally murdered. He attends court with Mr Balkwell and has even got Lee's boss arrested and charged with manslaughter, despite police corruption.
I suppose you're negative about that too.
From what I can see he does good work. He may not always be right but I think it's very Christian of him to help those in need to find out how their children were murdered.
But maybe it's just me who thinks that's a worthwhile thing to do.

Re: The Michael Barrymore / Stuart Lubbock case
PR. I don't intend to turn this into a battle between us. My Aquila and Tony comments were just banter because of your vehement defence of TB
You are peeing in the wind if you wish to defend Tony Bennett over here. There is no love lost.
Tony has put himself forward on several occasions and where his assistance is helpful then he is to be applauded. I don't deny that. But you are leaping to his defence after only hearing one side of the story. From my point of view Tony has fallen out with a LOT of people he purported to help. That could be something to do with the attitude that he is always right.
And maybe you should aquaint yourself with the abysmal way Tony and his cohorts treated our forum owner when she was going through a bereavment.Christians should be Christians every day not just when it serves them and their self aggrandising ways.
But maybe that's just me.

Re: The Michael Barrymore / Stuart Lubbock case
Yes, I've read about the way he complained to the hosts of the forumotion sites because of Andrew's phone calls to him. Bad timing, but maybe Andrew shouldn't have done what he did at a time of candy's bereavment then he wouldn't have needed to complain?
I don't see anyone applauding TB's assistance to those in need. I see people skirting over that to go for the jugular as usual.
I don't think I've leapt to TBs defence. I was just voicing my opinion on what I've seen of what he does versus what you all say about it over there.
I sincerely apologise if I've stepped out of line.
