The Bain family murders...
I am, and always have been absolutely convinced David Bain killed his family.
I don't know so much about Jeremy Bamber - he was a wrong 'un, though.

Re: The Bamber Family Murders
I'm not sure if I'd heard about the Bain case before. Yes, I do think that he literally got away with murder.
I'm 99% sure now that Jeremy Bamber was guilty. The bit about his father ringing him (rather than the police) to say that Sheila was going crazy is beyond belief. Pat didn't mention it but I have read elsewhere that the phone at the farmhouse was dangling off the hook when the police arrived. As the supposed call to Jeremy hadn't been disconnected, he wouldn't have been able to make another call from his phone. Assuming that's true, it debunks his story.

Re: The Bamber Family Murders
Never really followed this case but watched the drama series and a documentary in the last year or so. I thought the most remarkable element was the pre-adoption family backgrounds of Jeremy and Sheila. Both borderline toffs, by birth. I did wonder if the Bambers (not exactly subsistence farmers themselves) were seen as a safe pair of hands for raising those children of the well-to-do born "the wrong side of the blanket".
Also notable that the Sky documentary was fairly even handed towards "amateur internet sleuths", compared to the usual portrayal of those that follow certain other cases that I could mention!

Re: The Bamber Family Murders
Just realised I called Jeremy Bamber "David" in the above post. David Bamber is of course an English actor who always seems to play pathetic or unlikable types.
I actually didn't notice! I'll correct it.
