Alice Gross missing: Madeleine McCann search dogs used in hunt for missing teen
They are using those useless dogs again
Alice Gross missing: Madeleine McCann search dogs used in hunt for missing teen
Sep 29, 2014 22:30
[*]By Tom Pettifor
Police sniffer dogs used in searches for both Madeleine McCann and April Jones joined the hunt for missing schoolgirl Alice Gross.
The springer spaniels, called Tito and Muzzy, are helping a team of officers from more than 20 forces trying to find the 14-year-old who hasn’t been seen for over a month.
The dogs – trained in finding concealed bodies – are working with their South Wales police handlers.
A spokesman confirmed they took part in the ongoing hunt for Madeleine in June seven years after she disappeared aged three in Praia da Luz, Portugal.
They were also used during the hunt for five-year-old April before she was found murdered in 2012.
A statement issued said: “South Wales Police is supporting the Metropolitan Police investigation into missing teenager Alice Gross.
"The mutual aid provision consists of several members of the Specialist Search and Recovery Team.”
The hunt for Alice moved to Osterley Park in west London – two miles from the last sighting of her near the Grand Union Canal on August 28.

This seems to be a very strange case.
Odd behaviour from the parents; here is a link to an interview.

I think it's odd too. The MSM and at some level tbe Police seem to have decided that the Latvian man is guilty. Whilst he has form and is thoroughly despicable if tbe press reports are true, cycling the same route 15 minutes behind her does not make him a murderer in this case. I must have passed or followed the same route as 10s or even 100s of people today. Just because I did, shouldn't make me a suspect in whatever crime they may have been subject to unless there is further evidence that associates me with that crime.
I agree they should maybe start looking closer to home. In fact that is where I'd have started. I've not seen anything on the parents but am aware she was missing for days before the media really picked it up. If it was my child, I'd have been screaming from the rooftops and dare I say it, employing McCann publising tactics from day one. I'd have to draw the line at good quality wristbands though!

Looks like she's been found

Police searching for missing teenager Alice Gross have found a body in the River Brent, Scotland Yard has said.
The body has now been removed from the scene and the 14-year-old's family informed of the development.
Scotland Yard said Commander Graham McNulty will make a statement on Wednesday morning and no further details will be released before then.
It added: "Formal identification awaits and a post-mortem examination will be scheduled in due course.
"We ask the media give Alice's family and friends the privacy they require at this difficult time."
More follows...

The police will have looked closer to home, in fact that could be why days passed before it was picked up by the media , equally there will be good reason for the emphasis being put on the Latvian guy ( although the police stress it is just one line of enquiry).chilli wrote:

I think it's not just the fact that this particular man 'has form' and was passing by shortly afterwards, but that he also mysteriously disappeared in the days following Alice's disappearance and hasn't been seen since. That's quite a coincidence.

Yes, the police have to trace and eliminate anybody who was in the vicinity of the victim's last known whereabouts. If one of those people has previously murdered someone, and has gone missing, it's perfectly right that they become a suspect.

Re: Various missing children cases worldwide - plus the occasional adult
I'm not disagreeing that he should be a suspect at all. It just concerned me the way the media were pinning it on him to the exclusion of everything else. Agree the Police would have to rule him in or out and they may well have evidence pointing towards him tbat is not in the public domain. I guess I just don't trust the press anymore.
What a sad conclusion. Poor child.

My initial thought is suicide though whether he had anything to do with Alice I don't know.
Let's hope that the truth will be discovered.

Absolutely no reason to be reluctant to post such articles. He is a missing person and looks almost certain to have become a victim of a 'predator'.
He withdrew money and travelled to London and was never seen again !
He must have met someone at Kings Cross and never been seen again.
Sadly has become another statistic.
I do wonder why it seems so hard for the police to work out the 'forensics' in cases like this.

Have you read all the comments below the article I wonder.
I don't like to post stuff like this because the fate of the boy, and the others, is just unthinkable.
Poor, poor children.
Poor, poor UK.

Yes i had read some and just had another look.
Kings X has always been a 'black hole' and known meeting place for prostitution.
I,for the moment, have a reasonable degree of faith in Exaro news.
Frightening the numbers of children going missing.
Going through some of those posts not sure what to make of some.Same 'Names' cropping up again and again.

Re: Various missing children cases worldwide - plus the occasional adult
Isn't this the most incredible story
The fact that 2 girls at the same school looked alike raised suspicions in the mother who contacted police, and then DNA tests etc?
Not sure how far they had lived from each other for 17 years, but amazing that her kidnapper was so close for all that time.

She has been found safe and well.
Was the first time the 'child rescue alert' thing was used. Backed by 'missing people'
Will ambassador Kate get the credit for her safe return...
The cynic in me thinks it was all a set up after Missing People did absolutely nothing in the tragic Rebecca Watts case.
