Are there not laws about theft of intellectual property? Whoever it was that wormed their way in to becoming an admin must have done so under a sock account. FB is supposed to have rules about this but complaints have fallen on deaf ears so far. What they need is someone well versed in the law who can find a way to hold the scammers responsible. I doubt Gurney and Sidebottom and cohorts would think themselves so smart then.

I read yesterday that the problem with Facebook (not taking any action) is the fact the group 'welcomed' the admin guy in Chirpy. So I am guessing it has to be a trust issue. PG was using another name along with her own.

I believe there were a lot of admins on the group which is going to leave the way open for scammers. They should really only have had a couple with the rest as mods but at least the numbers are increasing rapidly of people joining again.
What a bunch of evil, conniving lowlifes they are in the pro camp. Can't win a fair debate so they resort to this. Well I think it will backfire on them as many fence-sitters are now seeing them for what they are.

The old group name has now been changed to'Goodbye Trolls' (oh dear how sad is that) and apparently still has 27k of the original members. From what I can gather the advice is to remain a member, making it more difficult for them as they have to delete the membership down to a certain amount (5k? as Chirpy had also mentioned) in order to close the group. Hope this makes sense.

I left yesterday morning as soon as I knew about it and joined the new one last night. I don't think I could join again even if they did accept, too much for me to deal with there lol.

Message from admin over there this morning. Who was the sleeper pro? I don't think there will be any problem with giving the name as it's bound not to be his real one.



We would like to clarify a few points regarding yesterday's disater now the inital shock is wearing off ....
Our home group was taken over by a sleeper pro who ... lied and deceived his way to trust ...some of us were fooled and he was made admin ... he took over the group firstly blocking all genuine admin ..... there is no one person to blame execpt this pro troll... precautions have been taken since and all current admin have now completely vertified there identity within the whole admin team .....
Frances would NEVER intentionally do anything to destroy our group she like the rest of us is devastated and doing everything in her power to retrieve our home group .....
We have seen the screen shots and the lies still being spun .....
Frances could have closed the group at any time she seen fit this would never have been her wish ... there was an occasion she left the group to deal with family commitments and was readded this is very standard practice ....sometimes admin need to take time away from the notifications etc .... we have nothing to hide as some would have you believe .... hopefully this answers all your questions and concerns and we can move on and get back to making this about Madeleine

As of now just over 7k members are on the new page Andrew.

Admin are working flat out to reinstate all the other members. The original page that was taken over has closed from what I can gather.

Anymore clarification on how it all happened as well......

A new Admin guy was appointed (allegedly William McMahon), he began by blocking all the other members of Admin. He then allowed all the members from the pro site in. I read on Saturday morning when it had all kicked off that a member of the pro site had posted that the McCann's appeal had been accepted! Not true obviously.

I would of thought the rest of the admin would of known this guy quite well (perhaps on a personal level) then to entrust him with admin responsibilities....

Not sure about that Andrew.I didn't recognize his name from any previous comments/posts. I was a bit surprised to see he was made a member of admin on Tuesday/Wednesday of last week, although it may have been a few weeks earlier.

I'm not sure how it all works to be honest. And don't know who the admins were and who set the whole thing up in the first place. Never even heard of the group until it was mentioned on here quite some time ago (I think by yourself) and ever since then used to have the odd look in and read from time to time.

Anyway - glad the farce is over and normal service is resumed then.

Ah I had to unfriend one of my aunts and cousins on FB because my timeline was filled with skinned animals, battered children, cancer children, chain prayers that if u don't pass on something bad will happen you, every day. Like this and FB will donate money, say amen, bla bla Bla, I can't bear to look at the cruelty stuff, especially the graphic pictures.
The latest pet peeve I have are friends posting silly posts asking to clarify your friendship with them by copying and pasting some silly post, It's embarrassing really. Needy.

It's good for having a nosey though, some people lead very interesting lives to say the least.

I had to unfriend someone for that reason too - horrendous animal cruelty stories.

Touch wood, I haven't seen any of the "say amen or you're a hater" nonsense for ages now.

From my time as a cop I d say they spent much of the money on phone work, even before I got out which is a good 6 years ago now it was about 70 quid a pop even for the most basic requests and they did what thousands of trawls , the fact that they did this ( and were given the money to do it) whilst completely ignoring somewhat more obvious lines of enquiry suggests something very hinky about Grange. The ultimate conclusion of this is these burglars. Triangulation of mobile signals might put them within a 100 metres of the apartments if you are lucky and presumably they are spaced out if they are ringing each other. There is nothing to ever physically link them or put them in the apartment , there is no body, there is no apparent motive , they have already interviewed them once. I doubt they'd have the grounds to do it again other than if they agreed to it, and if they did that they must be totally confident there is nothing to implicate them. In short it's a dead duck , if that is their remaining line of enquiry it is a monumental waste of time. If they truly believed these men were responsible , surely they would go under the radar and put them under intense surveillance, shouting through a megaphone about how they are "suspects" and they intend to re interview them says only two things to me.
1/ They have no concerns what so ever for the child's safety because they know damned well she is already dead.
2/ it is just a PR stunt to justify its existence.
In terms of the whole argument Grange is a nonsense.
If they regarded the first investigation as credible and there is no suggestion they didn't , the Mccanns and tapas lot were prime suspects.
If they regarded the first investigation as flawed, then surely you start from square one and by mere statistics the family and friends are most likely and need to be eliminated.
In breaking these most basic rules the whole thing is visibly a sham.
In terms of the dogs the PJ regard their findings as intelligence , however this would undoubtably be regarded as high quality intelligence and enough to prioritise their enquiries.
In terms of the Met well they base entire stop and search operations on the indication of passive drugs dogs.
So their own lawyers have concluded one dog indication is grounds for a search.
Such searches can be carried out by force if necessary under S 117 I think it is of PACE.
To authorise use of force on the basis of one indication indicates their faith in these animals and their training.
I don't suppose their faith in other specialist dogs is any less.
At the end of the day they may have to defend that in court.
That they then totally ignore what 10 or more indications by cadaver dogs with the accompanying findings and fail to explain this beggars belief.
That they state the opinion she may have lain in the apartment dead and still failed to relate this to the dog findings is out of some sort of alternative universe.
It seems highly likely the Mccanns have been totally out of bounds from the get go.
Therefore Grange is a total whitewash.
It trawled thousands of phones , found a few local toe rags who happened to be talking to each other. It made a public show of questioning them , twice , serving no real purpose at all - it then closes down vaguely pointing a finger in their direction and the PJ.
Job done.

Facebook users will know that you can "like" a page, usually those belonging to a group or organisation.

I was surprised to see from my activity log yesterday that at 19.01 I "liked" a page called Learn Everyday.

I have never looked at this page and was not online at the time. I have sent a message to the group to see if they know what has happened.

Very strange but at least it's an okay page and not something that I wouldn't touch with a barge pole.

P.S. I've discovered that it's happened at least 4 times recently. I've blocked the page now.

No Freedom, the black spaces are there cause I took a photo off a photo, just thought it explained the 15/19 markers more clearly x
