I can picture the other one but can`t bring his name forward.  Round faced, sandy receding hair.  Short surname. Don`t tell me.

But I sort of remember a very similar question on a repeat showing of the quiz show, 'The Chase'.

And remembered the answer as well

I've had a lot of different cars in my time but never had a Ford.

And I always wanted an XR2 or 3 in my teens but the insurance was sky high.

Yes, Gerald Ford was never elected president - he was Richard Nixon's vice-president and lost to Jimmy Carter when he stood for election in his own right.

What about LBJ?

He was elected in his own right in 1964.

He was an unelected half-term president, you could say.

There's another one who's still alive today who only had one term and you will kick yourself big time when you remember who it is!

I missed out Ronald Reagan in that list.  It can`t be him can it - I thought he did 2 terms.

No, I didn't. When Freedom said still alive and would kick yourself etc then I thought of all the US presidents that I know of (that are still alive - which is about 4) and came to that conclusion.

I have been cheering on Trump for ages and, you all might remember, I won a £100 bet when he won.

Being an anti-establishment soul and sick and tired of corruption in governments and the EU, I was heartened by Trump`s refreshing message.  As I was with Nigel Farage`s. I love listening to Nigel taking the p*** out of Jean Claude Junker.  I `m a non-conformist in many topics.

BUT

I was watching a few videos of Oswald Mosley, the history of what led to his rise etc. and how bringing in the militia (or biff boys) to defend themselves led to disaster .... and then came the war.  It struck me that Oswald Mosley was suggesting a lot of things that Donald Trump is promoting now.  Mosley was fed up with the corrupt government while the population was starving and jobless after the Great Crash.  He was promoting "Britain First", promoting building works, housing etc. and wanting action, he was also becoming protectionist and that included our borders.  I thought Blimey this is just what Trump has been saying.

I also thought this is what happened in Germany after the first world war when Hitler was like a saviour to the Germans.  They were a beaten down country and then along came someone who was full of action and with answers to build up the military etc..... only trouble was he started grabbing land and the rest is history.

Is Putin keeping his cards close to his chest because he knows more about history?

Just remembered Hitler was a democrat/socialist so maybe bang goes that theory.

Another thing that is worrying me about Trump is that 90% of his administration is now Jewish. Also he has campaigned about his love for Israel, his daughter married a Jew and has converted to Judaism herself, both his 2 sons have married Jews and he is bestie friends with Netanyahou. Trump has also campaigned strongly about destroying Isis and one of the reasons, I think, he wants to team up with Putin. Trump is also going after Iran.

This continuing Arab/Jewish conflict goes on it seems. Funny how we had Obama, who was a Muslim, in the White House and now we have someone who is pro-Jewish. Can these two religions never find a middle ground?
I can see ructions ahead. Can anyone else?

Other posters may query my defence of Trump on another thread but I always see both sides and will defend extreme ideas on either side.

Has there been any proof supplied that Barack Obama was or is a Muslim?

His father may have been but he played no part in his son's life so it's unlikely that he (Barack) was brought up in that faith.
