Kate McCann hopes to win Britain's Got Talent

It's a shame really because, if her singing voice is anything like the dulcet tones of her speaking voice, Kate performing a solo within the choir would have brought a tear to the eye of even the most hardened McCann sceptic

From what I read today: she's not.

Probably just an attempt to distract from the Appeal Court result.
No doubt had public opinion been more favourable, she'd have been in there like a ferret down a rabbit hole.

That's what they've been doing for nearly 10 years. Publicity [paid for]. It will in the end be their downfall. OMG if they'd only have admitted, what happened and how they handled it in "panic". I could side with them. But I'm afraid that it' a bit more complicated than that.

What a nauseating article that is from the Daily Mail and apparently it's a load of old baloney that Kate is to appear with the choir.

Surely that choir would be a far worthier winner than any of the show’s dancing dogs.
And a solo performance from Kate would melt the hardest of hearts . . . even if she were to turn out to be tone deaf.

No one should vote for the missing person song at all. Kate McCann will still benefit from it. She is the ambassator. The song should be boycotted.

I don't watch. A few episodes of X Factor put me off Simon Cowell and his style of show. With X Factor, it was patently obvious which act would be voted off each week - they would be on first, with a dull song and poor outfits.

As I said, I don't watch Britain's Got Talent but I expect the audience manipulation is similar with manufactured fake drama and each act having it's own 'battle against all odds' or tale of woe.

The sort of people who actually ring up and vote on these programmes aren't bright enough to see that they are being milked for their money so they certainly won't see past the choirs' sob stories.

A representative for the show told Daily Star Online the choir has auditioned but said: "Kate McCann is not involved in the choir or their audition."

I watched it too but it didn't affect me. I did feel sympathy for Peter Lawrence though. Maybe I was too preoccupied thinking about the politics of it all, and why Richie Edwards, formerly of the Manics, was mentioned as he was officially declared dead quite recently. It's generally thought he ended his life.

The name McCann has been totally omitted from those articles.

Is it solely down to all the negative reactions from the public in general about them or is there another reason?

Make no mistake, the McCanns would've tried to jump on the bandwagon again with this.... Just as they did when it first came to light several months back (or whenever it was)....

Something has changed.

Perhaps the McCanns want the attention solely for themselves next month.
